Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Ahhhhh yeeeeeah, Rainbow Machine. I want one just to plug weird things into it and see what happens. 12-string Acoustic, Italia Modena Sitar, Mellotron sim, Harmonicas, ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING.

Also, hey everyone, just got back to the West Coast after driving 7 days cross-country from Connecticut. I saw SO MANY BUFFALO.
But the real question is........Were the buffalo roaming?

Going to the studio this weekend to record a track maybe two. Testing out this new place and if we like it we'll record the next full-length there.

Totally different concept for the next album. Big Sky was a about a man vs. nature/hero theme then next album is based on the oil Geo-politics of the 70s.

Looking for some help with it. We'd like to create a story line and some "lyrics" that would go with this theme. If you like to write, have some basic knowledge or willing to do a bit of research into it and are interested PM me.
Also anyone with artistic skills and would like to help us with artwork and visuals also PM me if you would like to be involved.

We're a long ways away but we want to get an early start.

here's another new idea we just started working on.

It didnt go down exactly how I wanted it too but it certainly got the job done...VEGA is no more. On to greener more dank riffs. And until me and my drummer have something going for reals, itll be nice to only have one band going on.

Sorry to hear it, but I don't think you'll miss the drama. This is supposed to be fun, hopefully now you can just enjoy GH and working on a new project.

Well the other band dudes like my half-assed arrangements of the practice recordings, so we have a solid framework to build on. If 2nd guitar player shows up this week we can use a song of his, then we have drums and bass mostly done for a 4th song. We're close to having a 30 minute set of material.

...now to sort out that singer issue.

I saw SO MANY BUFFALO.

When I was young on a camping trip I was very nearly trampled to death by a large herd of very pissed-off buffalo (bison, really.) Where I live there are tons of buffalo nearby.

I now take the opportunity to eat buffalo meat any chance I get. In parts of Wyoming, they have buffalo burgers on the regular menu even at places like Dennys. Great meat, but lean...it's good to cut it with some fat or mix it with some beef if grinding it to add a little moistness.

Mmmm, buffalo. My retaliation against your sneak attack attempt on my life continues unto my death...

Oh yeah, I was eating bison burgers and steaks at every chance. That's some seriously good meat. If it was viable, I'd cut beef entirely out of my diet and only eat buffalo, I really done't need the extra fat in beef.

This isn't going to sound very Doom, but I went a couple years in the early 90s as a vegetarian. I actually never felt better, but at the same time I was living in Arizona and was getting a lot more outdoor physical activity than I was used to...hiking, climbing, etc.

At least at the time I didn't feel as if I was lacking in anything, but aside from that stretch, I definitely crave meats periodically. I eat a lot of fruit and veg too, but it would be hard for me to cut out beef (or similar mammal muscle) and chicken entirely. Fish too, if you include that.

Might sound like sacrilege, but I could definitely do without pork. I do like bacon at times, and some sausages, but if the Finger of Wotan came down and pointed at me or a doctor said I could never allow pork past my lips again, I'd be perfectly fine with that.

Dammit, need cheeseburger.
