Thanks man! I agree 100%. If this show leads to bigger things, that's awesome. But honestly, just doing shows like this is plenty enough thrills for me. But I was definitely happy to get my turn at ye olde Yucca Tap Room. And now that you mention it.. within the past couple of years, this stage has hosted... Orange Goblin, Church of Misery, Valient Thorr, Kylesa, Floor, Torche, Zoroaster, Red Fang... just off the top of my head.

Man, I'm anxious by nature, had severe social anxiety when i was younger, but performing doesn't make me nervous at all. I love it. The very first real show i played made me nervous beforehand, but by the end of the first song i was loving every second of it.
Guitar player in the last band would get so seriously anxious i wondered why he even did it. Never seemed to be enjoying himself.

Whoa. That is some heady, heavy company. Of those, I've only seen Red Fang (3 times, and excellent shows) but I love all those bands (except Kylesa and Floor, who I've never heard of.)
Speaking of tarantel, check out From Bone to Satellite. Amazing album.
When they put out that album I saw them in a packed small club. I think Iwas the only operson to see them start the set. The drummer came out and sat down at his set and hit a few notes and twiddled with adjustments, and did it again and again for a few minutes. Then the guitarist came out, plugged in and checked some pedals and made some low, quiet, oscillating feedback. T he drummer was still doing his thing. About 8 to 10 minutes had gone by and everyone assumed they were setting up. The bassist came out and hit an open note and clicked on a pedal or two. About five minutes later the whole club turned around and was like "when did the band start??". They started with that first drum hit! It was an incredibly orchestrated and sneaky ambient introduction and noone noticed. I was an instant fan!

I don't get to play loud often but tonight I had a little bit of alone time so i just about dimed the 400RB. I know it's not the loudest amp but it was still an excellent destresser.
Well if you haven't shipped that out Matt looks like you dont have too

I would first try to pull all the tubes and spray some deoxit on the sockets and wiggle the tubes in and out. If that doesn't do it and there is a driver tube I would replace that second. Then lastly replace power tubes.

That first track...if you've ever been driving in the middle of the night on a lonely desert road in the middle of nowhere and it's pitch black except for more stars than you've ever seen, THAT is the soundtrack.

I've been playing with some stuff in my signal path and I'm quite proud to say I finally got it all to doom. I'm using an odd combination, a Spector NS-2, Ampeg PF500, Ampeg "dark year" 810E, EBS multicomp, Darkglass B7K, Darkglass Duality Fuzz, and an old Morley wah I had. It sounds killer...i'm not even using the P pickup solo'ed. It has a really unique tone to it, the only tone I can think that sounds the same is Al Cisneros....wierdly enough, I kinda like my sound better than I like his...
But anyways, super stoked to finally get a working doom "sound". I just dread having to return the ampeg (i'm borrowing it)

I love that when I google image search Dually, half the rigs I see are S/D rigs and specifically looking for images of a Dually stack I see Corey's collection pop up.
