Well, I was gonna ask about rolling it over as well, but I see you already got that question and answered it. That sucks. I've been in that boat. When I left Oregon for various necessary reasons, to return to Icklahoma, I had to cash in my retirement from Oregon state to help me afford to relocate. I not only took a huge tax hit on it at the time (25% or so) but I then had to claim what I DID get to keep as income and that kinda screwed us that year.
At any rate, good luck with the job! I'll echo what others have said...only you can decide (cost/benefit analysis!) whether it's worth it, but time is precious, my precious.
I'm still holding out some hope too. In the last couple of weeks I applied for a job in Colorado making more than double what I make now (although cost of living would certainly be higher too) and two other jobs in OK--one is about 2-3 hours away near Tulsa (which is SO much better than the OKC area, IMO, if ya gotta be stuck in this state) and pays $10K more--we'd have to relocate of course. The other is just up the road in tornado-addled Moore (I wouldn't live there, but there are nicer, safer places nearby) that pays $18K more than what I currently make, and I could commute until we could move. Better benefits at all three jobs too.
I'm more than qualified for any of these jobs, but I've found that often in this profession (and hell--maybe it's the case with any line of work) the organization already knows who they are going to put in that position (promoting from within) and the whole job posting/interview process is mostly window dressing for legal purposes.

Shiiiiiiit! I had three jobs there for about 9 months. That shite sucked. I've never had to struggle in my adult life, as much as the last 2 years. Finally making ends meet, but have a ton of debt from being underpaid. And we have jack in savings. We are one disaster away from being completely fvcked.
We have a bit in savings, only because of life insurance policies that paid out (wife lost her mother and sister within 6 weeks on each other last year). My wife is currently working part time at her job, but will be going full time once they expand in January 2016. I'm supposed to be in line for a raise and or promotion this fall, if that pans out we'll be in good shape for the first time in either or our lives. But yeah, until then I'm really hoping that we don't have a medical or financial emergency.
One silver lining for us - aside from a car loan that's 2/3s paid off we have zero debt. Neither of us has ever had a credit card, we paid for my wife's school out of pocket. I'm racking up small amounts of student loan debt right now, but that will be miniscule compared to most college students and (in theory) I'll be able to easily pay those off once I'm advanced a bit.
less than an hour until the weekend. Today I got to work, watched a 15 min video on a potential competitor, and that is it... I've spent 8 hours reading up on ultralight wood burning stoves, the good the bad and the DIY.
The other intern was let go/fired apparently, as I spent the last couple days compiling his work (or lack of). While getting paid to do nothing is cool, I don't get paid enough or work enough hours to be ok with that. They mentioned my transition into employee, but haven't gone into any specifics though. I'm hoping/assuming they are trying to use the finders fee they make on a deal i helped find to pay for me, as it would pay me a fair years salary many many times over.

I've dug most all the MXR stuff I've played. My fuzz is an MXR, but no octaves. Congrats on the score Squanch!
Man, went to get a sixer of Left Hand (great brewery out of Colorado) Milk Stout...addicted to this stuff...but wasn't on the shelf so I made my own six pack from single bottles.
Only two new ones for me were Strongbow Honey Apple hard cider and Santa Fe Nut Brown Ale.
Christ, the Strongbow was so sweet it nearly made me gag. I am almost never happy when I get any alcoholic beverage that leans sweet, but THIS stuff...outrageous. Almost like a wine cooler X 10. At least my wife could drink it, though it was too sweet for her too.
The ale, though...nice stuff. Lots of body, pleasantly bitter. Didn't blow my mind, but pretty tasty. Hefty for an ale...into the porter and stout zone almost.
For later, got a Founders IPA and a couple of Guiness Draughts.

It's a classic fuzz with volume, tone, and gain(fuzz) controls, that you can add octave down to in series or parallel with the white button(so you can avoid blowing speakers) or turn the octave down all the way off with it's one knob. Then you also have the footswitch to add octave up(Octavia) as well. There are also internal controls for the octave up. I had one before it is really verasatile and sounds good on guitar or bass. I think it has been discontinued and has been replaced by the MXR SUB but the SUB seems to have less control/functions.

Thanks, yeah I dig me some MXR. I want to get another Carbon Copy and maybe another auto wah I had. I had the guitar version but it had a voicing switch that worked well on bass and really sounded like a crybaby and not an envelope filter.
Damn I love me some cider and some stouts. Lately though I would rather just have Kava over grog or green.
Like a dirty Foxrox Octron since it starts with fuzz before adding the octaves. You can bring the gain down a good bit though and cop a somewhat cleanish octave down. It has that sweet MXR BOD tone flavor to the octave down too. You can cop the 8 string bass vibe with the octave up engaged. Much nicer sounding to me then my EHX Pitch Fork.
