Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Max if you're not already Facebook friends with Peavey you might want to be...

Quoting myself, cuz yeah.

Max, I sent your GH photo my Peavey rep just now, he flipped his lid, immediately emailed it to Hartley with my contact info and asked if they could put it on their facebook page. I said yes, so it should be up sometime soon.

If you give me your email address I can forward any response that I may get from Hartley.

On the other hand...

That whole not having a band photo got me thinking. We know each other for like 18 years, so we certainly have SOME photo of us 3 prior playing together.
And lo and behold, here it is!
It's was like 3 years ago, we went to our guitarist's girlfriend's cabin in the woods, threw my tomahawk, shot our guns (those are of airsoft kind mind you, real steel is not really allowed here much), drank a sea of booze, probably burned some trees.

Left to right: guitarist, me, drummer.

That's a great shot.

Are drummers in Poland as psychotic and wishy-washy as they are in America?

I think they are the same everywhere :D
Our former was just a weird person, he was a long time friend, but the band was at 3rd or 4th place for him after his work, his girlfriend that nobody liked an his daughter (that I can at least understand).
Our present drummer is at least as much committed as me and the guitarist, he had his issues but the chemistry is right this time.

You can, but getting a gun permit is a pain in the azz, you can't own full auto obviously and not everyone gets the permit. The whole procedure is quite costly and in 8 out of 10 cases you'll be denied.

Full auto requires resistration, fee and a wait time. Same as getting a suppressor or cutting down a shotgun.

All stuff I thought was illegal, turns out just costs you like $200. Crazy how things work.

Killer shot! Head chef? Damn I KNOW that is a ton of work. Get yourself on Chopped and win you some $10K!

Nah, chef isba title someone else gives you. I'm a badass line cook.

Cant kill you, but can make it difficult for you to go through a metal detector at the air port.

Terminator do not fear mortal TSA agents.

Oh I am, and I tag them in basically every hipstagram photo...just wishing/waiting for someone important to see them and be like this guy deserves a endorsement. Sig model with an old school SS pre and 400 watt tube power section with matching 218 and folded 21. A boy can dream right?

So over the last few months I've been testing this coupon code I have for this place down the street and it still works. Gives me two 1/4 chickens, 4 sides, two rolls, drinks and sauces for between $5.40 and $6.58 depending on who rings it up.

Just can't beat that feast of savings. Eat once a day like its Ramadan.

I already ate lunch today and that made my mouth water, now I'm craving some bbq chicken.

Me and the little dude, sometime within the last couple months:

We stayed at a old cabin out in the sticks with other family members; there was this sad old nylon string acoustic with only the two E strings on it lying around. Didn't stop me from jamming some tunes, though.

Cool shot. Is this a family cabin or one owned by friends?

It'd be cool to take that guitar and give it a little TLC, string it up and leave it there for future cabin visitors.

Sometimes I think about getting an ABG just for stuff like being outdoors, camping, going to cabins and stuff. I don't play enough guitar anymore to wanna keep an acoustic 6 string for those purposes, and I know un-amped ABGs get drowned out even by 100% acoustic guitars, but just to have something to play and practice and work up tunes on when it's not practical to take an electric and amp or when I'm getting in the 70s folk-bassist mood...
