i'm not a fan of art with a lot of text on it either, as beavis and butthead said, "if i wanted to read i'd go to school."

just gave bernie the stoner metal doom basset his ear drops, my new venus flytrap is getting all black and diseased looking, and i think i just wrote a jesus lizard guitar part on the bass, that's encouraging![]()
All the players in Jesus Lizard were top notch. Got to see them live a few times in Chicago in the early 90s.
Goat is one of my favorite albums of that decade.
Do you mean you wrote something that came out like a specific track by Jesus Lizard or just in that vein?
I once was trying to come up with something heavy on guitar and I played it for the singer. He said "That's Night Moves by Bob Seger."
And it WAS. Fuuuugggg!!! We actually tried working that song up, even though I pretty much loathe Bob Seger, in a heavy version stylee, but that's just ill-conceived from the outset.
Nice, stumbled on this today, for a bit o' the strange.
Ha ha I love Bob Seger. But for a while now I've wanted to re-write "Night Moves" myself, with new lyrics about:
Knockin' up a girlfriend then dumping her because "I prayed about it and this is what the Lord wants me to do"
Taking over a company and laying off 2/3 the workers but having them train their Chinese replacements first
Lying about weapons of mass destruction to send my country to war and open up new profits for my petroleum services company
and I'd call the new song "Dick Moves"
workin' on my Dick Moves...
Love the Jesus Lizard too, saw them in mid-nineties at Gabe's in Iowa City. After the show David Yow was chatting with some of us fans and some dude was saying "You're the dawg!!" and David Yow was like "I'm not a God" and the dude was like "no no you're the DAWG" and Yow was like "ohhh.. okay" and the dude said "hey would you show us your cock?" and Yow was like "um what?" and the dude was like "SHOW US YOUR COCK" and Yow said "Okay" and totally whipped it out and yeah I guess I saw David Yow's junk that night. And then I asked him when he was doing his collaboration project with Ronnie James Dio and he just shook his head and walked away. TRUE STORY for reals y'all.
"Gentlemoshing" should be the new craze...
This is why this thread rules, this made my morning! Gigglez
Dick Moves....
Thinking out loud here. When I wire up my "new" guitar, how do I connect the ground? The ground was totally disconnected, and the first tech didn't put it in the tiny hole that I assume goes to the bridge, but instead on a pot. Does this mean the bridge/strings are ungrounded? It's a Les Paul style, and as far as I know, nothing else is touching the strings/bridge to ground them.

Guarantee it would be the next thread title if we did that anymore.
up at 6:30 on a Sunday, not expecting to go to Jesus's house? Don't hate on yourself, sleep in. I'm only up to feed leela.
Make sure there is a wire soldered to the top of one of the pots then run through that hole to the bridge. you just splay it out to contact the metal of the brdige then pinch it in place screwing the bridge down. The pot will be one of the pots you see other ground wires mounted to on the top(metal backing of the pot).
See, that's whay I ask these questions here. I was like "How do I solder waaaaay down in there?" Your answers make total sense and are much easier. Thanks! Any store carry any wire I might need? Thinking brick and mortar, and what size or anything else I might need to know?Remove the bridge, put the wire into the hole. When you see it peek outside the other side, reseat the bridge with the metal in contact with the metal tip of the wire.
An extra ground wire or two, one to the pots and one to the body wouldn't hurt, but not necessary.
