Nothing like the thumb or other injuries on here. Doc said he thinks 30 percent chance I broke it so I had to go for xrays after work.

Whelp, things haven't gone the way I had hoped.

Bosses can't afford to hire me on as a salaried individual for months or ever. So I can stay forever at the level I am or they help me find something else.

Broken, but not defeated I went to the guy who owns the property to talk to him anyways. So he's the owner of an investment group too. He says he'll help anyway he can to get me living there. So I said he should hire me so I can afford the place. He said I could talk more tomorrow about that.

So could be more let down, maybe not. Otherwise unless some more luck comes my way I'll either be unable, or I'll have to find a roommate or two who would enjoy the thrill of living in a house that's semi unfinished inside until I can afford to not have them living there. Another thing is if my bosses fired the other intern for being crappy, and love me, even if I can't go full time employee, pay me part or all of the other guys pay as a raise until I find something else so I can afford to move.

Sorry to hear about the job/house troubles, dude. My wife and I had our eye on a really cool old stone farmhouse that needed LOTS of work. Sat empty for years, there's a couple of nice barns and several other out buildings around it. It was pretty cheap, so we started getting all of our ducks in a row and it sold. That was two years ago, it's still empty, still in a state of decay. We drive past it every time we go to the property. Oh well, we moved on.

Welp, been up for like...24 hours. Just got home from a week in England on some family business, but got a few days mucking about in London. Spent most of that time drinking beer and eating meat pies and fish and chips. Raided my Uncle and Grandfather's old record collections, and then went scrounging in some record shops too, picked up a nice clean early pressing of that one in the middle to compliment the other finds.

I envy you. The longest I got to stay in England was about 15 hours.

Nice haul. Around 1950-1966ish is my favorite period for jazz. Coleman, Coltrane, Eric Dolphy, Albert Ayler, Mingus, Monk, Miles...

And there aren't many bands I like more than Motorhead. Bomber is a killer.

It's not that bad. Doc sent me for xrays last night and I am waiting to hear back if it is broke or not. Migraines hurt worse then twistin' ankles. Just wish it was my left foot and not my right for driving back home next week. I like to bum around my usual haunts when back home for a few days. Maybe not so much nature this trip but I can still pimp limp to guitar stores, high cholesterol ethnic food eateries, clubs, and old man bars with my little brother!
