Damn it, I think I broke my foot and not just sprained my ankle, effen thing is changing Fifty Shades of Purple. I hope I won't be driving to PA in a cast next Wednesday.
My practice space amp is an old 100W Fender Rumble 210 combo. Not a bad amp for a practice room in a confined space. No bueno for gigging.
Yeah, I'd realize the sound / volume of the Rumble combo (or any combo) will be less than ideal and for anything other than teeny gigs I'd have to mic it or line out to a PA. Probably would never work for truly heavy music no matter what but that very well may not end up being the kind of music I'd be playing as far as jamming/live shows, if any of that even happens.
Heavier stuff I may end up doing as strictly home recordings, or lay down some stuff with this drummer buddy and add stuff on top, but solely as a recording project.

My 8 hour ergo chair finally arrived at work. I got to pick the color so I tried to make it vintage amp-ish! She's a sweet ride.
Also New Kava Day yesterday. The 3.2 gram concentrate is wicked, another sweet ride. Dude threw in a sample of his micronized too!

more LA weirdness, drummer apparently got rid of our guitarist(my close friend who i play in other projects with) for some guitar god fellow who has his own studio and vintage gear emporium, we haven't played a show since halloween, and we are scheduled to make a professional video with this hot photographer/documentary guy

So I've been looking into wah pedals, lots of nice options but I'm a cheap-ass. Turns out it's a simple 1 cap swap to make a regular crybaby into a bass crybaby. So I'm going to buy a used crybaby online and mod it for bass. I already have the cap, should be quick and easy, and cheap.
115 with a horn...it has some other features that sound kinda nice, like some kind of auto-adjusting line out so you don't need a DI box. I think it has a couple of built-in fx too, but I can't see ever using those. At least I never have in the past.
The other CL options near me at this time are:
Peavey TKO 115S
Acoustic B100
Ampeg BA115
Gallien-Kreuger MB115
Line 6 Low Down Studio 110
The GK is the only 200W, but it's also out of my price range. The Peavey, while only a 75W, was my second choice, just based on how effin' loud PVYs usually are and my past experience with the brand.
I also thought the Line 6 sounded interesting, and I think it is the smallest/lightest of them, but it is loaded with all kinds of tech I would never use and to me more gizmos and chips and circuitry just means more that can go wrong.
I've played through a few examples of both the Acoustic and Ampeg models, but thought the Acoustic didn't take dirt well at all, and (IMO and limited experience) Ampeg has futzed up their quality significantly since moving production to China. And no, I don't think this is the case at all with the majority of China-made products.
I mentioned this a few pages back, but a local pawn shop has a new 210 200W amp called a "Sundown B310." They also make a "B315." I haven't tried it out and I haven't found a damn thing about them online except that there used to be a pretty well thought-of brand called Sundown, but they folded a few years back. Looks like someone bought the name rights and is getting these manufactured somewhere on the cheap.
I'm curious to try it, but it feels like it weighs 600 pounds and I am really skeptical about buying it.
The Rumble also gets the best reviews out of all these, by a considerable margin. That's looking at online retailer user/buyer reviews, other musician's forums, zine reviews and those on sites like Ultimate Guitar and HC Reviews.
Again, I know it's not ideal...it's all I can do for now.

Not necessary, but thanks! I've got an eBay credit to spend so I'll just grab one from there. I appreciate the thought, though.
...and speaking of eBay, two fairly large sales this week, both items shipped out, still no access to my money or any indication of when it might become available. I get that they favor the buyer, but I don't like sending stuff out and not being paid for it. Reverb doesn't seem to have any issues with getting sellers their payment right away. I just want to know when I'm going to be able to access my payments. "Sometime next month maybe?" is not an acceptable answer.

Didn't ebay and paypal split companies recently. I wonder if that is some of the hold up?
Could be. All I've gotten was an automatic email from paypal saying that the payment went through, but I won't be able to access it for anywhere between 3 and 31 business days.
It's not a huge deal, I'm not hurting for the cash, I'd just like that time frame narrowed down a bit.
