Seriously though, I am sincerely happy for you. I had the chance to buy property when I was 20-25 but I didn't. I've never owned property. I know it has its pains and pitfalls, but it is also the only investment most people in this country ever have.
I like being mobile, but at my age I realize moving around all over the country and changing jobs all the time has made me rich with experience and I've got to see many different places, but it hasn't netted me anything else. In fact, if I had stayed in Tulsa at my first library job, because of their raise system, I'd be making more money now than I ever have anywhere and I'd be able to retire in 10-15 years.
As it is, I got squat and I'll be working until the day I drop dead even if I make it to 100.
