Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

@Speedor I can't imagine the beauty of central european women. In all honesty I would leave the USA just to experience the fine women across Europe. Probably will never happen though.
Swedish women were ridiculously hot. I studied abroad in Germany, ended up going with a buddy to Sweden to his family's place for Christmas that year. The girls were excessively hot, but unfortunately, similar to Asian women, it is often hard to tell age. I felt confused. I'd meet a girl, she'd look good, and then find out she was 12. Then, I'd meet another girl who looked 12, and she was 20. I never knew how to feel. My buddy's cousins stayed for the week too, and I knew they were both of age. After day 1, when I got up early (to them, at least, it was 8, they got up at 10) and his smoking hot cousins both walked out in skimpy lingerie and started making small talk with me. I made sure to get up early every day after that. The only exception to this is the not-so-attractive women. Most were absolutely gorgeous, but if they weren't, they certainly weren't.

Germany had a similar demographic, but with a more even spread throughout the gamut of attractiveness, and age could be told somewhat easier. Overall, though, they definitely had more attractive women than the US.

Maybe these countries are on to something by not cramming their streets full of McDonald's and actually walking places everyday. I know that I lost 25lbs when I was there, and ate whatever I desired. Weight just fell off me.

Also, final Dano review, at least for a while.

Dan-Echo: Great delay pedal! It's got a slight baked in tone, but it's not a bad tone at all, so I don't mind. It's pretty versatile, and can cover all the ground I'd need. That being said, it's not quite as transparent or versatile as my Way Huge Echo Puss, so it stays on the board. The biggest differences are that the Echo Puss has longer delay time and is also true bypass. Really, though, I could use either pedal and get the sound I want. I might end up using this on bass, but we'll see. I'm not a huge fan of delay on bass, as it's not very useful for me. That having been said, it sounds just as good on bass and if it's your thing, give it a shot. But it's definitely going on my secondary guitar board! I'll have Daddy-O, Fab Tone, and Dan-Echo (in that order) for my Dano board. Should be good times!

Yeah, when I was in Europe I was drinking a lot of good beer and eating a lot of rich food, but I dropped a lot of weight. We rented a car most places we stayed for any length of time, but I did do a ton of walking.

First day of work was awesome, he says he could see me working with him for 30 years. We'll see if it's truly that cool, but it's a very interesting field.

Lol my texting speed is very impressive apparently, and to think my high school teachers tried to limit it.

So, are you off the old job permanently now? The one where you were more or less a temp?

Sheesh man, you find another deal like that, lemme know. I like Denton just fine and nobody in my family will ever darken your door if you don't want.

Seriously though, I am sincerely happy for you. I had the chance to buy property when I was 20-25 but I didn't. I've never owned property. I know it has its pains and pitfalls, but it is also the only investment most people in this country ever have.

I like being mobile, but at my age I realize moving around all over the country and changing jobs all the time has made me rich with experience and I've got to see many different places, but it hasn't netted me anything else. In fact, if I had stayed in Tulsa at my first library job, because of their raise system, I'd be making more money now than I ever have anywhere and I'd be able to retire in 10-15 years.

As it is, I got squat and I'll be working until the day I drop dead even if I make it to 100.

Anyways, good on you. You deserve the goodness.

My board at the moment. Still need to make a couple cables for the fire ant and one more for the hail satan. I just ran out of pancakes and have been to lazy to take apart smaller pancakes that I have.

His the Hail Satan the weed goat pedal?

Sho nuff. Hail Cannabis edition. At first I wasn't super fond of it as it was a little to bright and gainy for my tastes, but it has grown on me and I love it now. We will have to see how my pharaoh supreme build goes and how I like the iron fist if I ever get it, but the hail satan will be hard to boot from the board. Plus, that pedal and I share a birthday and it says "Smoke Weed Everyday" on the inside of the case.

I say bright, but it definitely brings a massive low end as well.

What is it, a distortion? OCD or Rat variant?

It's a muff. The Fire Ant is a rat. I actually haven't owned an OCD type pedal before. I was looking at the Joyo UD for a while but was strapped for cash at the time. I'd really like to try a demon/demonking though.

I always run it with the LED clippers, which are also the goat's eyes.

Well the new boss wants me to work with my current guys and get it so I can do both. Until I either I guess get hired at a higher pay rate after I prove myself to him or I go off and get a different job completely. And the guy I'll sublease to knows like everyone in business in DFW and has gotten friends jobs before, so good to be helping him out.

The guy I work for owns two thousand plus places and does all kinds of deals from rent, rent to own, owner finance or straight cash. I'm sure there is something if you every decided to move.

Did not see myself negotiating goat grazing rights with Mexicans living in plywood one room huts adjacent to a farm id be living in a few weeks ago. Crazy stuff all moving fast.

Dang. Must have been really hurting to not get the UD.
