Getting GAS Giddy, just checked the tracking number and my Waterstone Fakenbacker is on the FedEx truck headed to my office!
It's not a straight up clone it's just Rickish. Neck through maple, and proper Ric pickup placement. I think it is actually my old Waterstone and Julian kindly purchased it for me and shipped it to me. I can't wait to see if the nick is in the same spot and is indeed the one I sold. Here is a pick of the model.
I need to sell some gear I don't have enough room in my rack because of the guitars I purchased off my buddy over the weekend. I am taking a shine to that Jackson Outcaster and the old Hondo Les Paul copy though...
@Squanch72 Oh okay, gotcha. I remember seeing that one now. 
Been looking into one of those Rickenbacker 4080 clones. Bass neck on top and six string on bottom. If I could get one and soup it up ala The Chinabacker, it'd be a showstopper at gigs. I'm keen on either a) Fireglo w/black PG or b) white on white. Probably a 2016 project unless I offload more gear this year.

Crazy fast. I got some Kava from Hawaii last month and got it in three days but that was post office.

Yeah you can't beat FedEx for shipping guitars. I used to take them to the UPS store and they gouge you to now end to ship a guitar. FedEx was half the amount. Never tried shipping a guitar through the post office though.

Mariana has been holed and up and finally recording a group of songs we wrote 2 years ago. We do everything DIY, so it takes forever for us to do anything. None of us have enough expendable income to record something fancy, and we're not going anywhere, so why not. We've done some demos and they sounded good enough. We are a bit of a dirty band anyway, so the semi lo-fi-ishness kinda fits.
Playing with Atlas Moth and Atomic Bitchwax (2 diff shows) in August, so we are pretty stoked.

I got an issue with the Jaguar neck. There is a behind the nut buzz on the A string. Not enough break angle. The nut has already been filed so I can't angle it and not even sure if I put on a new nut that it would work. Tried making sure I strung the strings as low as possible on the peg too and no dice. Would it look bad if I put a second, matching Fender string retainer between the A and D strings.? I think that is the cleanest way to do it. I had messing with the neck and wish they made a Fender stealth string retainer for push on bushing pegs. Even thinking of selling off the neck and slapping a new one on the body as I know I hate it when people do mods on factory gear. Ah maybe I will just part out the Jazzguarbird, and start another project this winter.
Probably. I never swapped a nut but I think that may be the best option. I think whoever filed it went too crazy. Maybe I can do the superglue trick and re-file it. And thanks my brother, FedEx just delivered a bass shaped box of joy!!!
