I actually hate the user name Muddslide. 10 or so years ago I was registering on Harmony Central. At the time I was playing a lot of dirty blues, slide acoustic in open tunings and stuff. It was the first thing I could think of. Pretty lame. But it has been my user name almost ever other forum I've registered on because I don't want to have to try and remember different ones.

Haha, doesn't really feel like it though. All of my recent acquisitions haven't even tapped the bonus and it already seems like it never happened. Also, I have done the math and had I been getting the $10-12/hour that my employees are getting with all of the overtime, EVERY check that I have gotten for the past 7 months would be like the current check w/ bonus. Essentially I make $500-1200 less each check than all of my employees. And I still have to listen to them whine about every decision that is made.

I am not complaining about it though, because extra money is extra money and I always appreciate that. It's just how the cookie is crumbling at this point. I knew what I was getting in to when I started.

If you showed your boss how many hours you worked at the hourly wage's total pay, versus your salary total pay, you think they would give you a raise? Seems like you earn it.

I was shocked when my recent raise didn't include a switch to salary, I'm glad it didn't because i get overtime for travelling and tradeshows, etc - but i thought for sure that they'd move my over to salary. I think i have my boss to thank for that one.

Yeah it sucks. It has its perks, there is no doubt about that. They want us to only work 8-9 hours, and they factor OT into my salary but those figure and my current salary equal my old entry rate at like 55 hours a week. I have easily worked that so essentially I get paid the same as I did at entry but have a lot of responsibilities added. The real pain is that due to how we take our final orders for each day and because I am overnight, I am basically always at work or always on call. I frequently have to go in twice in a day. No other supervisors have to do that and if I didn't we would surely suffer for it. I want to talk to my boss about it and ask for a raise but I have to wait until the time is right. But really, if my raise this next January isn't substantial and reflective of my input and value to the company I am going to look for a new job or request to give up leadership and go back to hourly on the basis that I would make significantly more money and still work just as long with less responsibility. I would have easily banked another 10k so far this year if I was hourly at 10-12 per.

Got a couple questions here:
1. Anybody have experience with the Boss TU-3 tuner? It does daisy chain out, but how many pedals can it power, and do I need a special daisy chain cable? Also, will that work if I'm just powering it off a 1 Spot, or will I double check the 1Spot's capacity? (Seems like I should!)

2. Any info on differences between the 9v and 18v versions of the Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus are appreciated. Again, if I got the 18v version, is there a way to power it with my 1Spot? Could I somehow safely bridge two power connections to make an 18v power supply?

3. Anybody know how to rack an MB200? I know they're tiny, but I'm trying to downsize my current rack, AND downsize the space taken up on my board (where my MB200 currently resides). If I get rid of the bigger rack, use the pedal tuner, and mount the MB200 on top of the 700RB in the rack (so it can still breathe) I can downsize from my too large 8u rack to a 4u rack, but keep the same functionality with my head, backup head, and power strip all in half the space! But GK doesn't seem to sell MB200 rack ears. Any luck out there?

I got the 18v cool cat never tried the 9v. You'll need a dedicated adapter or a power block.

I think some third party people make MB200/500 rack ears. I sold both of mine before getting to a point of seriously looking though.

he was playing the house rig, SVT VR and 810E. everything at noon on the svt and everything at noon on the hm2. i was right on the stage practically so i heard the tig perfectly. didn't notice much of a drop in liw end with the hm2 engaged.

i think i have an hm3 lying around somewhere.

Nonnononono. I want utter and absolute solitude whilst contemplating the mysteries of the universe. I would build myself a soundproof chamber with a submarine door if I could. don't want to hear/see anyone, don't want anyone to see/hear me.

I'm the same way. I want the bathroom to be its own self-contained universe with no contact whatsoever with the one I usually inhabit for the duration of the event.

I can understand in most situations the not hearing me. Though there are these certain occasions where I'm in a public restroom like a target, I have to deuce and it's gonna be bad and there's someone in the stall nearby or around and no one else. I'm pretty fast so I'll just strain to the brink of prolapse and blow it out with much fanfare to the discomfort of the others around. Then wipe up and ditch out before they finish.

That wastes water. The faucet thing. I always just wait until other people are gone.

I worked at an Italian restaurant as a host and they made me a bus boy half the time after hiring me. I didn't want to be there, and really didn't want to be a busboy.

After the lunch shift I was supposed to clean the bathrooms prior to dinner then leave. I went in there saw a crowd of men all looking at the ground. It's a pair of tighty whiteys and jeans full o' the dook. I just turned around and clocked out and said it was all good. I wish I could have seen the guy try to leave. He was a stealthy dude. Got through the whole restaurant and bar unseen.

Similarly to your cousin someone once got the runs in the ladies room everywhere during rush hour. I hated the job and didn't sign on for it, so I told him as a child I had a traumatic poop experience and could hardly face my own let alone strangers poop. Got totally relieved of all duties outside the kitchen or hosting stand closer to what I wanted. Chopped a lot of tomatoes.

Goddamn. Nicely handled, though.

At my previous job we had a truck driver that would destroy our bathroom immediately after arriving, twice a week like clockwork. The bosses thought that he was smoking in there, because it would smell strongly of cigarettes. They put up no smoking signs and eventually a smoke detector. He wasn't smoking in there, he just smoked so much while he was driving that his poop smelled like burning cigarettes (mixed with horrible poop odor).

My first job out of high school was as a janitor at a cold storage warehouse.

Truckers used our bathrooms often. It was terrible.

I used to work with a guy at Barnes and Noble who was unfortunate enough to have walked into the bathroom to discover a mentally handicapped man with his pants around his ankles, **** everywhere and this guy actively throwing and smearing his feces across the bathroom walls. My friend just turned around and walked out. He went to a manager, informed them of the situation and told them sternly that he didn't get paid enough to deal with that. The manager gave him a distraught look of understanding and slowly walked to the bathroom already filled with regret.

I haven't used the "I don't get paid enough for this" line... yet.

Call me selfish and coldhearted, but I will never work with anyone that has a chance to throw poo on me. Or stab me. Get me written up for talking to your boobs, that's fine. Poop is not fine. And if I worked in a prison, there would definitely be a string of suspicious prisoner deaths.

I have the TU-3. Good pedal. I have it powering the Swollen Pickle. I have no idea how many pedals you could power from it with a special cable. I've never used a 1Spot.
