I thought I was GAS free.... But I now have a bass, an amb, and a cab that have me itchy.
Just pulled the trigger on this. $420 shipped, with a hardshell case.

I've been jamming with the LH1000 at home and was reminded how LOUD and LOW it can get. Getting the SVT-2PRO has instilled some Tube Snobbishness in me, but the LH1k still sounds impressive, especially with some dirt pedals up front.
Bobby the builder sent me some mock up picks of my double p bass body. Trying to decide if I should keep them in the Rick pickup spot or have him move the pickups back to a normal double p bass, thoughts?

Is that how you run your power amp? Full blast and control volume with the preamp?
Still trying to figure out my pre/power setup to maximize the power I have on tap.
Why not leave it that position and have the neck P reversed?
Interesting. I am running Dimarzio's and the label would be in the wrong spot and that would bother me LOL. The pickup position is growing on me and I think running both pups would cover p tones.
Dual P with one reversed would look WEIRD to me. Don't think I could handle it.

This is what I was thinking only opposite. Hypothetically thinking, it would put both bass side coils closer to the standard P spot and space out the treble coils for a little more bass response as well as the bridge grind. Who knows though.
Neck thru, according to the specs. It's the Classic-IV Pro model, which uses the same hardware and pickups as Gibson and meant to be more like a budget Gibson model than the bolt neck style ones Epi used to make.
Everything I've heard said they have cheaper hardware, mainly talking about the bridge, and cheaper paint but the same pickups. I've also heard that they are every bit as good as the Gibson T birds. I'm jelly, I was gassing for a White one a year or so ago.
I now have the finished mixes for the first official Hex Volt recording. It'll be awhile before the mastering, artwork, replication, etc is sorted out, but I am very excited.
Kind of cool that at a family birthday get together my girlfriend's little sister's boyfriend just ask if I like Weedeater and The Master Musicians of Bukkake.
Just sounds like P-bass through an Ampeg with maybe a slight bit of dirt before the pre, to me.
I'm not even usually interested in SS or Class D stuff at all... but a Mesa for $700 seems pretty sweet. Kinda want to try it.
I've always wondered that, too. It's my biggest gripe about the P-bass. I'd really prefer the EA side to be on the other side of the DG side, closer to the bridge. More bite on the low strings, more boom on the high strings.
The Epiphone T-birds I've tried actually I've found more comfortable than the Gibson ones.
