We actually got aksed to open for a touring band...that's a first. Opening for Gypsyhawk in June. It's a Sunday night so we'll see how that goes.

If it's a pool route, just get a new pickguard made, and get the most stupidly, pointlessly large, ridiculous pickup possible.
Like a real mudbucker or something.
But right in the middle, instead of at the neck. So it's basically dominating the entire center of the body.
The actual saddles on the hipshot can be filed down. I have one that the previous owner filed down a bit too much on my Ibanez 4001 copy, actually, and so the highest string buzzes quite a bit.
On the stock Rickenbacker one, I think really they could improve it if they just beefed up the part that bends, and maybe filled in more material on the underside to make it a bit more solid.

You are going to blow them away. No disrespect to Gypsyhawk. But, The Brow is going to kick major ass for a signed touring band. They better bring their A game.

I don't know if that original P pickup is in an optimal location. Maybe a little too near the neck? Although, it might be a good spot to maybe tone down the natural treble of the maple body/maple neck/maple board.
Slap a Babisczcsczssccz full contact on there and call it a day. Why stick to 2 designs that are flawed?

no what i meant to say was that i was tuned wrong for the first song, and then he was tuned wrong for the next one. Drummer thought it was hilarious because of the total confused look on our faces trying to figure out what the fvck was going on.
Nope, I refuse to believe you were tuned wrong. It was his fault, end of discussion.
