I'd be really interested to know more about how you guys tune!
My guitarist tunes BADGBE, dropping the B to A for a couple of tunes. I've kinda settled on BEAD, also dropping the A. I've got a .145 for the low B/A. Are most folk here down-tuning or standard?
I remember asking Jonathan Nunez from Torche how he keeps up (down?) with the low notes and he tunes EADG, I was quite surprised...

Another day off for me, mushroom hunt was a bust, i think we're still too early. Going to head back next week.
Going to spend today getting the community garden in order, then band practice.
Our drummer is talking about moving in August now, so i think I'll ride out the last couple of months then move on when he leaves. Putting together one or two final shows, kind of a bummer but I'll keep moving forward and playing more music.

Sounds good Ron, did you get a chance to use your new EGC bass on this recording?
Thanks man, I'll be sure to update tonight with how it goes.
I keep one bass in BEAD and several in either standard tuning or Eb usually (or drop D or C or whatever's needed, usually have at least one floater). I only have one guitar right now and it's tuned to B standard, planning on getting another guitar for standard tuning again pretty soon.

Nah, this record is the RD's final performance. I didn't get the EGC in time, it came about 2 months after we were done tracking.
It was RD > Demon King, Volume Pedal > Moog 104M >(Duniwch DI) > Dunwich Mostly Harmless (ampeg side)/Carvin DCM3800 > Dually.
Low end taked from the DI, Mic covered the rest.
Still doing it for now at least. I just have allot of time in the morning I wake up at 5a and start work at 7:45a.
I get bored. Most days I practice but today was off soooooo CL got razzed.
I play a 37" scale 5 string. Could easily handle lower tunings if I wanted to, but I have not had the need to do so.
