Yeah, I was talking to a friend of mine that was at the show and neither of us had any idea who they were. Didn't know what to expect - 3 minutes into the first song I was like "Yeah, these guys are serious."

Neck might need a washer or 2, I don't think the truss was broken, just maxed.
Took it apart on my lunch, everything looks great except the treble side of the neck is very worn and the frets are green and it's missing the expensive knobs.

Man, I'm listening to some Holy Sons stuff online - quite different than the live band. I was getting an All Them Witches / Black Mountain kind of vibe from them last night (minus the keyboards).
Are any of their album more straight up rock? I like what I'm hearing - but it ain't what I saw last night.

the last two are a bit more produced and more of a full band than the earlier albums which have a very lo-fi acoustic sound..like very early Beck albums.
Fact Facer and Fall of Man
Well, I'm gonna eat those words. Or at least most of them. Just did a test, and the Behringer pretty well nails it. It appears to have slightly more treble content than the original, which may also be older components on the original. Either way, they're pretty well identical after my test. Maybe my buddy's rig/settings were to blame, but I would have sworn his Behringer was a whole heck of a lot noisier and hissier. Maybe it's just him. I keep my guitar relatively dark sounding, and fairly bass heavy. Wonder why that is, now?

The Epi Thunderbird arrived! Outside of a couple barely noticeable dings, it looks and feels brand new.
Black PG with white burd would look killer.
Still working up the acoustica MDT set. Recorded our practice last night. Quality and performances were uneven, to wit, the usual. 
^ That reminds me, did our first multi-track band recording last week. Obviously some tweaking left to do, I want some overheads on the drums (just kick and snare first time), we were clipping the mixer and/or the recorder so I need to ease back on the levels. PGA57 sounded absolutely killer on guitar, indistinguishable from guitar player's SM57. I put a Sennheiser E835 on my cab and was pleased with the results. DI from the 2-pro sounded good when I was playing "clean", but sucked when fuzz/dist was applied so I'm going to use a separate DI before my pedalboard.
One guitarist moved his mic stand out of the way when setting up his cab and didn't put it back, so for 2/3s of the practice it was just pointed at the room.
But we're getting there...
Our two long jams/songs are evolving, we're having trouble nailing down a structure for both of them. We have 4 or 5 shorter songs that the guitar players have written that we're going to work on next. If we get those nailed down we can toss in one longer song to the set, and I'll care a bit less if they're left loose.
One guitarist moved his mic stand out of the way when setting up his cab and didn't put it back, so for 2/3s of the practice it was just pointed at the room.

They make one with those color scheme in this model, I think. I want to get a black pickguard for this one eventually.
For recording practice, I'm just using the DI on my Fender Rumble 100 into the Zoom. Simple and effective
