My wife and I watched Byzantium recently and both enjoyed it. Good drama in general, the literary take on horror can be really ponderous and self indulgent and it managed to stay interesting and engaging. I liked the original take on vampire mythology as being sort of a weird, dark existentialist version of the fountain of youth.

Actwhore he maybe still a cool face to see in pics. Deadwood or one flew over.

Though my world needs a flick with him and crispin glover in it. Already Creepy before you even start to write the film lol.

I liked how the daughter would feed from older people who lived their lives already.

Deadwood ended too soon. I always think of River's Edge when I think of Crispin Glover.

I love the tone of Gibson Thunderbird pickups. Those Classic IV's are sweet. Finally got the nut swapped and filed to proper 0.022in depth on the Jazzguarbird. Didn't want to drop the coin on the proper files but read where people wrap sandpaper around drill bits and it worked great. You just have to compensate for the thickness of the sandpaper when choosing the drill bit size. No more behind the nut buzz and the action in first position plays itself.

Billy is good at creepy characters. He wrote and performed a monologue on the new Legendary ShackShakers record. Duane Denison played some cool guitar behind it. Can't seem to share the link. The Nerdist did a premiere of it the other day

Ha! I've played bass for Billy a couple times. Never asked him about it, but did ask his bandleader. He said the band had no idea he was gonna do that either. I think it was an early morning show, everyone was tired and Billy was sick of bringing his band to interviews only to be asked about his acting career. To be fair, the DJ/host was specifically asked not to bring up the acting stuff and Billy did tell me he thought the dude was a tool

That is a crazy interview, it seemed that he kinda focused on Billy at first, which makes the band feel like an afterthought. Probably what irritated him. It feels like he wants the band to stand on it's own and not be a celebrity novelty which is understandable.
Kinda feel bad for the interviewer, who knows what he was told prior to the interview but at the same time if he was smart he would have just apologized and moved on- instead he focused on Billy over the rest of the band.

Picked up another T-40 on the cheap because the owner said the truss rod is broken.
Haven't looked yet but at the price he asked it didn't really matter and I have another neck.

It's a nice 80's sunburst in good shape, The later blade style pickups sound noticeably different than the toaster style. I was stunned as I didn't really expect any difference.

Earth was awesome, every bit as amazing as I hoped it would be. EVEN SLOWER and more drawn out than the albums. Lots of stuff from the new record, couple of cuts from The Bees Made Honey... and Angels of Darkness...

Place was absolutely packed - sold out show on a Tuesday night. Dylan seemed pleasantly surprised - "Finally a town that appreciates Rock N Roll!" he remarked after one song. I'm proud of our little city - maxing out a drone show on a Tuesday is pretty impressive for a town this size.

Left before the end - it was HOT, tendonitis started acting up and I was on 3 hours of sleep. But a killer show nonetheless. Was at home and in bed by 12:00, not too bad.
