The best are the cellophane wrapped hand made cables they buy for their stereos. They spend all this money on it and it sounds excellent but those cables looks so effen ghetto behind their gorgeous gear. Makes it look like they have a fly problem.

Yeah, a 1200s cab but different speakers, and run it as the...even higher highs than the 2x15s
I think I was only lurking around here when I got this/sent it off.
It was a pawnshop rescue painted with red latex house paint.
I stained it a dark grey and it looked great but I couldn't shoot a good clear with the little LP paint setup I have, ruined it twice. It was cloudy and weird.
So I sent it to GuitarPaintGuys for a Candy Rootbeer finish, took 4 months. Hopefully their work is better than their customer service/turnaround time.
I'll post picture when I get it put back together over the weekend, it should be here Friday.
I also found some of the original knobs NOS, still in packaging, if they did a good job on the paint this thing should look pretty seksi.

In the early 80s I scored a '62 Fender Jazz bass that had been covered in what looked like yellow latex house paint. I bought it for around $300 and had it pro-refinished with a nice cherry-ish stain. It's the only time I ever had something refinished. I've done scores of rattlecan jobs, but at my age I'd probably get a pro to do it if I needed or wanted a refinish job again.
THAT should = HOT.
Anyone try a Peavey Tour Series 810? Thoughts? There's one about 90 min from me, down in @ampegfuzz's neck o' the woods.

For a good price id love to snap one up.
This one's at $400 OBO, so I'm thinking $350? Only deal breakers for me would be if it needs repairs or if it's smoky smelling.

Speaking of what some stumpjumpers do to nice guitars. Look at this paint job that some clambake did to this Gibson Victory Standard I bought locally and then resold a few years back. I was going to try and strip it down and have it refinished but just flipped it instead. The Victories are one of the heaviest basses I ever diddled. They sound great though.
Well, today's practice went well, we've got the third song pretty much nailed, but we're still struggling with the second one - I think we'll dissect it again and try to put it together anew. It's got a working title - The Imbecile. I'm starting to hate it. It's like it just doesn't want us to finish it.
Also: NPD! (sort of) I sold a few pedals I don't use anymore and, fed up with not having a delay on vocals invested in my own - enter TC Helicon Mic Mechanic. It has quite a lot of options, but I'm just using a reverb + delay setting and it does its job.
My today's setup. Disregard the lyrics cheat sheet, I constantly struggle to remember some of our (scarce) lyrics.

Tour 810's in good shape. Offered $350. May pick it up this weekend. Just what I need, another fridge....
