It's a Prolite 3.0. That sounds awesome. I'm fairly DIY capable, but have very limited knowledge of electronics and the idea of working on a power amp kind of freaks me out. If sourcing a new board is possible I'd love to get that info from you though.



Trying to stay positive about it all. At least I don't have to ship the dually anywhere and can just ship the speaker... That's about all I got.

Watch some YouTube videos about discharging capacitors and you'll avoid the dangerous aspects of the repair.

I would think that replacing the board would be fairly simple, just some screws and ribbon cables. I could be totally wrong though.

I'll find out if I can get the board and how much it would be tomorrow when I'm back at work tomorrow.

In the meantime, if you have time to open it up and snap a photo we can figure out how much work it would be to swap the pcb.

I loved the Pork Loin I had on bass but it was too low gain for guitar to me. Lowest gain overdrive pedal I ever had.

I think it's a sweet pedal (great sound, very flexible, easy to tune) but it's not high gain.

Thanks guys. Definitely not heavy enough for my doom needs. I'll keep messing with my Real Tube, I guess.

I guess there's a 20 watt EL84 based 112 and an older 50 watt 6L6 one. This is the 50 watt one. That's ok by me though, as I'd like a little more headroom than 20 watts.

If it gets in the territory that would be cool, has a different EQ for the dirt channel so that's nice.

Yeah, I just thought they were hot. Especially that Pelham Blue reverse Delgada.

I have only played one 12-string bass. I enjoyed it but I think it would be impractical for my needs....a fun tool, but it would not see much use. Besides, in my (very limited) experience, just keeping the thing tuned properly would be a challenge (or constant PITA) and I have to think the tension on those things would wreck and warp most necks over time.

An 8-string bass (and I've owned one of those before) is much more appealing to me, but I would probably use a decent octave pedal instead of buying another 8 stringer. I know using an octave ain't the same as having a real deal 8 string bass, but it's close enough for rock and roll as far as I'm concerned.
