Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

LOL
What a wanker.

I mean if it's $1200 for 6 functional 8x10's that's actually a pretty good deal. $200 per cab.

nevermind, upon further reading I see he'll cut a deal for multiple cabs....so $1200 for a hideous used 8x10.
Yep, total wanker. Charging three times what each of those are worth. I hope someone tries to lowball him.

Dumble, but why show the amp when you could prove you own a firearm instead?
What a weird post. Looks like a douchebag dumble owner.

People, Sorry to interrupt, but I have a question that you may clarify for me. I'm playing in a Stoner rock/Doom metal band(mainly stoner). I sorta play "lot" effects. I use a Vintage precision bass, into a blended signal with this pedals, VT Bass -> Bassballs -> Bluebeard -> Cry Baby -> Phase 90 -> Soul Vibe -> Carbon Copy. Into a Orange terror bass, with several ampeg cabs.
My question is, it's worthy to add a flanger? to add some "crazy" monster magnet'esque sounds? In case of positive answer, Is the MXR Micro Flanger OK with bass, I don't have the posibility to try before purchasing.
Thanks for the answer, and sorry to bother. Cheers From Uruguay!

I doubt anyone around here is going to tell you not to get another pedal. Personally, I couldn't use it with all the stuff you have but it sounds like you like effects so why not one more?

I have never used the Micro Flanger so I can't help you on that front. I have one of the cheap Behringer Bass Flangers and it sounds surprisingly good sound quality but it is kind of a pain to use as all the controls really interact with each other and only a few settings seem worthwhile.

This is the wrong group to ask if adding another pedal makes sense. In fact if you ask that type of question, I'm sure you'll get a bunch of confused responses as to what "worthy to add (insert name of any pedal)" means. LOL.

They should just rename this thread "The Pedal Junky Thread". LOL

But seriously, will a flanger be used without a lot of the other effects? If not, it may just end up kind of washing out all the other effects and make it more blurry than anything else.

Also, introduce yourself! List your gear! Influences! Favorite beer! Show your beard!

Sorry! My name is Franco! I play in a Stoner Doom Band, previously I played Hardcore and Thrash. I use Fender Precision basses. Don't Have a Pro Amp hehe. I use a lot of Fuzz pedals, Bluebeard fuzz, Vintage American Big muffs, and clones of russian. My main influences are the all time classics, Cliff Burton, Steve Harris, Geezer Butler, also I really like, Dusty Hill and Troy Sanders.
I actually don't have a beard, my beard and my girlfriend had many fights before, so I had to choose...
Beers, love many, but I'm a very proud consumer of the local ones.

As you can see, I'm kinda noob in this site, we're should I ask for my flanger question to receive attention from the "correct" people?? I'm not into funk or worship, or pop music kind of stuff.

Also! English is not my native language, that would explain if I write something without sense or something.

This is the right place to ask, but the kind of responses you will get are like Corey's above.

More is more. More is better.

Question for you, which ampeg cabs are you running with your bass terror?

Don't worry dude. Your English is just fine. There are many members here whose native tongue is English and they're either too lazy to spell correctly (or too stoned.) English is a very lazy language to start with so stop analogizing and turn it up. Also I'm more into a Phaser or Chorus than a Flanger. But it's all down to taste. By the way, welcome.
