Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Just got word from a friend who moved to England that she had a Squanch Sighting there today. I explained how she could use a knee high stocking to do traditional prep. She bought it for her husband who has ALS to see if might give him some relief. She said ok I can either wash my knickers or let him have some extra flavor. I said oh boy look out, here comes the Knicker Liquor!

With your programming skills you should be able to come up with good sequences and transitions that might feel more like jamming than superior drummer. At least if if functions the way its represented to be.

I've never seen one in person. Not sure it would be much more trouble than just putting a track I made on an ipod or something and then through an amp/PA. Given the amount of dirt I use, I think I would have to put a Beat Buddy in a special loop or something or put it through its own rig or something.

I was thinking of through the PA just more something you can trigger to change between parts with the footswitch.
So make a verse beat and a chorus beat.
Play letting one repeat until you hit a footswitch and switch it to the other.
(At least i believe that is possible.)
As opposed to pressing play on an ipod and reciting a composition verbatim. Which would feel to me allot like tracking, which is miles easier sitting at your desk with cans on.

Usually when I write I just program up a pretty straight forward beat and just jam to it, then refine specific parts as I arrange an actual song. At any rate, spending $300+ when I already have everything I need to get the job done is kind of a dealbreaker for me. Money is really tight, so if I'm going to spend that much on anything it's going to be for something I don't already have in my arsenal.

I totally get that. With no band in sight my nonessential bass spending is right about $0.

Half the fun of TB is spending other people's money right?:D

Love it! Nice chugging, heavy riffs. Awesome flow through the transition. I could do without the guitar solo in the last quarter of Fozzie, but then again I'm kinda prejudiced against guitar solos so take that with a grain of salt.
