And he got arrested by the FBI... Here's to hoping someone gives that asshat a forceful dose of HIV... Because seriously fuq that guy.
Not that we should take our cues from a nation with the human rights history of China, but if this guy had done that there, they would have literally beheaded him in a public square.
I did big time, a life changer health-wise for me, I even sell it now.
If you have mentioned this and I missed it, apologies, but can I buy from you direck? If so, let's PM each other!!! <3<3<3
Although i don't read enough of them (time and money are my excuse) graphic novels/comics are my favorite form of story telling.
They can do absolutely anything and budget is not really a concern.
True. I don't think they are as encompassing/inclusive as an art form as film, but I do love and admire a lot of them. I agree too--kind of THE current form of storytelling. Nothing wrong with that.
I'm guessing you saw Moon with Sam Rockwell, came out a few years ago?
I thought Moon was good. A slow, quiet film, but good. I really like Rockwell. He's great as Zaphod in the remake of Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy and was especially great (I thought) in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was just an excellent film.
You've seen firefly/serenity right?
I was late to the party on those, but it was a fun show. Serenity was a nice way to wrap it up. I keep hearing they are gonna bring it back but haven't heard any news about this lately.
Smokin' Fox is a great Indian babe name, PC or not.
My wife's family lives on the res, I've been called "Paleface" a time or two.
I actually dig it. Natives get cool names like "Two Bears - Bowmaster", I guess mine is "Paleface".
I've mentioned this, but the town in which I work is at a confluence of several tribes including Delaware, Apache, Caddo, Comanche and Kiowa. There is only Tribal Land in Oklahoma--no reservations. Geronimo and Quanah Parker are both buried a short drive from my workplace. Cherokee Nation--the entire soverign nation--is in Oklahoma, near Tahlequah (which is near Tulsa.) I am seriously into the cultural aspects of all this, but the names some of these folks have are so incredibly awesome...I'll only use last names for privacy reasons, but some of the ones I've encountered include:
Whitefox
Blindwoman
TwoHatchet
Mankiller
Tenkiller
Sixkiller
Badheartbull
Bearfist
Blackarrow
Ghostmoon
Rainmaker
Wolfpaw
Roughsurface
Chiefsaddlehorseblanket
(this last one is sometimes varied--"ChiefSaddleHorse, HorseBlanket, etc. but apparently the "official" complete name is the one above.)
Sorry, but those are some bad@ss names. I mean--Bad Heart Bull? Two Hatchet? Six Killer? DOOOOM!
In addition to these there are many others like:
Anoatubby
Quiddibitty
Quoetone
Poafpybitty
Goombi
Oyebi
Anquoe
etc., etc. And NONE of these are pronounced the least bit phonetically (with regards to English) really. None of them are pronounced the way you'd expect. It's hard to learn them all.

Made the riff for the verses. Got to come up with some other parts, but I dig this poem/song from the king in yellow.
The entire idea behind The King In Yellow is awesome, I think. I don't know why that sort of storyline hasn't been exploited more. For those who don't know, The King In Yellow concerns a play that basically drives everyone who reads it or tries to perform it insane. This was touched on a little in David Lynch's film "Inland Empire" and there have been variations like the poisoned book that kills in "In the Name of the Rose." There's also an old Monty Python skit where a guy writes a joke so funny everyone who hears it laffs themselves to death.
But the concept could be taken much further, or told in different ways. I love the idea of someone coming across some hidden piece of music that, when performed or recorded, causes complete mental collapse in the listeners. Hell, I'd like to WRITE that music!
