Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

But the concept could be taken much further, or told in different ways. I love the idea of someone coming across some hidden piece of music that, when performed or recorded, causes complete mental collapse in the listeners. Hell, I'd like to WRITE that music!

There was an episode of the already cancelled after one season Hellblazer show (still called it Constantine, which was a disappointment, but whatever). It was an old blues 78 or something that when played summoned a demon or damned the listener or something like that. Some sort of variation on the Robert Johnson crossroads urban legend, where the bluesman who recorded it had a deal for his soul or something and so the actual sound was somehow spiritual tainted. That was pretty cool.

There also an episode of the Masters of Horror series directed I think maybe by John Carpenter about an old German art film or something that drove people crazy and made them mutilate themselves and kill each other, because it contained the murder of an actual angel.

First times free just to try it.
After that, he don't give a fuhk where you get the cash to buy it. ;)

I'm opening a pawn shop with my proceeds, let the vicious cycle begin you Krunked out zombies. Jk jk, you can't get addicted to kava but apparently you can like it enough and have it calm your nerves and sleep better enough that you may make damn sure you drink it every day lol

Pretty much where I'm at. If a take a day off and have a few beers I'll invariably sleep like poopie and regret it.

I don't like the way it feels with beer. I hadn't drank in like 6 months and when I was back home for Thanksgiving of course I was hitting the bars with my little brother. I would only have a few, if I did more than three and kava then I just felt a little off. Kava will never give you a hangover but I felt if I had more than three beers and kava I would get one.

I don't ever mix the two, just feel like poopie after. Kava ruins the alcohol, alcohol ruins the kava. One or the other.

I can't say for certain but alcohol and kavalectone(spelling @Squanch72) are both processed in the liver. So you should probably treat it like aspirin and do either or not both.
Then again I'm no doc so......smoke pot.

That is correct, not a good idea to combine the two anyway. The Kava takes away my desire to drink, at the very least it makes me not give a poopie that I'm not having a beer, which is HUGE for me.

Have the option to adult and go to my friends Christmas party. I'll be 25 and everyone else around 30-35. Beer for sure. Maybe a tree fleetingly for a "wild" Christmas. But I'm afraid there might be goofy sweaters and wine involved.

Or my other friends having a Christmas house show party with keg and 5 bands...
