Concentrate on the prize. If this is just a paycheck, then remember what kind of fun this lets you do outside of work. Or you find something to entertain yourself at work. Track your progress, then try and do it faster, find something to challenge yourself. Maybe it isnt fun, but it keeps you occupied/focused on work.
As much as it sucks, no one escapes work outside of the amazingly fortunate. Finding something you actually like to do is a joy, but even at those gigs, there will be tasks that are less than fun. Even the guys gigging/touring full time have complaints. On the road all the time, never get to see their family, and are lucky to sleep in a bed every night. Or they get to choose a bed for a night, or have some spending cash that week for something better to eat than quick snacks.
You're not going to change the fact that you have to eat, sleep somewhere, and maybe want something enjoyable out of life time to time. What you can change is your attitude, sometimes that is really hard to do though. So keep at it, see where it goes. Doesnt mean you have to stop looking for something better while you're at it.
And there is my dad speech for the week....
