Thanks. I have been trying to get better at the build each time. My first few boxes were an absolute mess. At this point my soldering is pretty clean and my plan of attack is organized. My wiring still leaves room for improvement but I am not Dunwich. I was afraid the green lamp wouldn't fit, but I checked like 3 times and it will fit perfectly. Its an actual 12v lamp, so no limiting resistor necessary. I wanted to open the lamp enclosure and just replace it with an LED, but I couldn't figure out how to do it without breaking the enclosure.



That T bird is ridiculous. I don't know that I would pay that much, but she sure is sexy.



In other news; my power amp sold, my SVP-CL sold last night and will be en route to Austria in the next hour and I may have a deal lined up to send my Kramer to Canada. I've never shipped International before, sure hope I have the paperwork filled out correctly. Normally I avoid shipping international. Both deals I had priced on the high end of the items value and in both cases the buyers are willing to pay that amount and all of the shipping. The guy in Austria even offered to accept full responsibility for any damage incurred during transit. With a deal like that and a safe country to ship to I can't find enough cons to outweigh the pros, so off to Austria it goes.

All in all, with the three sales(assuming Canada deal comes to fruition) I made a few hundred dollars profit off of the gear and have enough to pay for another faital Dually made with okoume and still have enough scratch to get the lady a sweet ass birthday present... or pay off some of the SVT. LOL.

Yea I am pretty keen, not sure what to offer. On one hand, its Pelham Blue with Ebony board, which is pretty rare, and its got a cool story. But on the other hand a Gibson Thundbird sold on that site for $1250 the other day, and this one has a Badass bridge, which is lame on a T-bird imo, and an Epiphone rather than Gibson case. Might offer $1500? Trying to sell a bass this weekend, so if that goes well I might hit him up with an offer.

Honestly I think a badass on a T bird would be awesome if the action were adjusted correctly. Those three point bridges are the weaksauce, to the point that if I ever get a T bird I will have also budgeted for a Hipshot replacement.

PB and ebony rare, yes. Chrome covered lollars is a plus. JMJ backstory, kind of neat but as the ad says, it doesn't add any value. I probably wouldn't pay more than $1600-1700 and thats only because I love PB and chrome.

There is a local guy selling a 58RI Explorer in PB, of course asking wayyy to much but its such a sweet looking guitar.

^mah rig on the big stage opening up Dead Meadow show last night

We played pretty well. The rig sounded AWESOME, like better than ever. We played to 80% of the next band, 50% of the third band, one random dude, and that's it. Im glad I enjoyed myself on stage, might be my only show with this particular promoter :/

The aforementioned one random dude wanted a CD and hyped us up to his friend who showed up later who also got a CD, so ya know silver linings and all that.

Smaller is better for me. I also don't know much about midi.

I was gonna make a stand for it and my lap steel together and run them through pedal board and some other stuff into my amps.

If you have a laptop, using a MIDI controller and a softsynth might be more interesting. I've used both the Arturia ARP2600 soft synth and Bristol Synth which runs under Linux provides alot of different softsynths for free (including an ARP2600).

Today I went to the house of my friend who's brother bought a lot of gear on the parents credit card. The plan was to look for the SVT, inventory everything and discuss our approach toward the sales. Also to discuss what the goals were financially.

I had feelings disappointment when we discovered that the SVT is in fact gone. Super bummer, but I'll live and there are many an SVT in the amp ocean.

However.

That is not to say I left empty handed. Oh no no no. For behind several debadged cabs, a VT40 and a v4 lay the crown jewel.
The holy grail so to speak. I uncovered a 1966 Ampeg B15-N.

This bad boy has a modernized power cable and the OG speaker. It vsound totally awesome. Will it solve my volume issues? No probably not but it is a holy grail bass amp and a killer little apartment rig.

That he does. He also bought a V4, VT40, VTM60, pignose b100, V4 412, 3 other 412s, an Eden 810, avatar 212 with G12 vin 30s, epiphani T212, two pedal boards, two brand new collapsible guitar stands, a horde of pedals, several cheap basses and guitars including a brand new warmoth wenge/bloodwood J neck and a bloodwood/ebony strat neck, 1000s of picks, 25+ patch cables, a bunch of speaker cables and instrument cables, a huge Ampeg 410(unsure of model), 3 power supplies. I'm sure some other poopie as well I just can't remember at the moment. Also an SVT that was either sold or put in for repair and never reclaimed do to LOL lack of funds.

Got this used for $10, still need to find the software, so I haven't used it yet.

But I still rather run the $20 Yamaha keyboard into pedals and stacks for fun.
