I'm getting down to the point where it's custom bass gear and recording gear that I've been holding onto out of hope. Nobody is hiring me to record or mix anything anymore, didn't get any referrals from the past projects I did that go release or bands toured on, so I'm not using the recording gear anymore either and I sold everything but the bare necessities I need to record full bands the way I want.

I do, yes, but it's all guitar. I'd be happy to try it out on n bass, but it'll be a while since I'm leaving town for the better part of a week. On guitar, it's the best Tubescreamer I've ever had. My guitarist currently uses it for a boost to his tube amp and it kills it.

Pearl 8"x20" bass drum acquired last night. Exactly what I needed. More bass drum like and just as loud if not louder with a better "mini" profile.

Also Here's an example of My tom and snare old heads turned into "big fat snare drum" clones. Kit sounds much bigger than it is, and pull them off and your kits bouncy and resonant. Two for one.

@Pelham Bleu I have an Arturia minilab, trading it for a drum set this week actually. May or may not be what you're talking about.

Since my drums are all different, I've been looking into cheap ways to remedy that.

Think I'm gonna peel the wraps, lightly sand, use spray adhesive to stick old comics/magazines/playboy cutouts on them then seal the whole shell. Protective and easier for me to do.

Keys & wheels would be enough, I'd use it to control the Minitaur and my Animoog software.

Can't you just live through a DI? Oh, is this satire breaking down now?

Buying is definitely more affordable than renting at this point, if you can get approved for a mortgage. We refinanced a few years ago (only really a few years after our initial mortgage too really) and rent for a 2 bedroom apartment here is a couple hundred more a month than our monthly payment on our 3 bedroom house with a big back yard.

The gentrification is driving rent up around here. I will live in a hovel to save money, but I wont get ripped off to do so.
