Wait.... no bass solo?
We didn't have time to work out that part so we just kept with the main riff going then I dropped in that Bass VI/Power Wah bit to go along with the monster roars.

I think it's good to get outside the box now and again and play some unusual gigs or different genres.
Aww man... It is an excellent cover, but the solo just makes me happy.
I was just getting my lech on when I read this and LOL'd.
The wife's bday bash/babymoon Disneyland trip was a big success. She said it was the best birthday she ever had. We were on our feet a long time, because we did everything she wanted to do in Disneyland and California Adventure (8am to around 11pm), so I'm still a bit wiped out even today.

When I'm recording gear demos I try to have as little in the mix as possible. So I usually just have the bass, my tuner and the pedal. Sometimes I'm running the HPF-PRE at the end to, but not lately. When I actually have my board all together, it's all there at once, but I never have a compressor in the chain. I just go by ear though, I adjust things until they sound right to me.
That is awesome Ron, sounds like a good time. So Dictator Audio is one of the guys from Emperor? I looked up their website, it's got zero info but says they're taking orders lol.

That the Behringer one? All I could get out of mine was boom and scoop, pulled it out of the signal chain and everything sounded much better - guess I was trying to fix something that wasn't broken. It's a handy tool to have in my bass case, but I don't think I'll ever use it regularly.

Yeah Dictator is one of the guys who ran Emperor, from my experiences he was the only responsible person there.
I might be wildly off base, but I have a suspicion the company name might be a joke/dig related to that. Having heard the term thrown around in the past by bandmates that equate expecting someone to show up within an hour of the pre agreed upon time, remembering how to play songs, to be equal to nazism.

The only things needed to transform this from satire to reality is to slightly change the first part to "Stop being such a band nazi" and separate the statements by about an hour.
Damn, that's rough. I've been lucky to avoid those types for the most part. So far.
He grew up, thankfully. That particular band, I was the primary songwriter and the band leader, booked all the shows, produced the recordings, handled all the artwork for flyers and releases, we practiced at my house...none of which was by choice, just no one would do anything and I ended up quitting. A year later, after some personal fallout and reconnecting, we reformed and the atmosphere was a lot less toxic. Everyone participated and contributed and when we ended the band eventually it went out on a good note, mutually and by choice.
Man, why did I even bother coming to work today. My body is trashed from last night haha. Toast and I went to Cleveland to see American Sharks, Big Business, and Red Fang. Most fun I've had at a show in years. Can't believe how brutal the Red Fang pit was. I haven't moshed like that since I was a teenager. Absolutely incredible. Definitely making it a priority to see Red Fang again any chance I get.
