Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Finally pulled myself together to get that shot I took of my whole rig together at our rehearsal place, first photo of it all coming together as it should be, so thought I wanted to post it here (if some of the settings on the pedals look weird it is because I had not adjusted them properly yet, before I shot the photo):

Ibanez Mikro Bass (with EMG Geezer Butler pickups)>> EHX Black Finger (always on)> Boss LS-2 (Loop A)> (Boss MT-2> EHX Tube Zipper (used as fuzz)> Harley Benton California TrueTone)*> Boss LS-2 (Loop A>>Bypass)> Joyo Orange Juice> Monarch MFL-22 (flanger)> Zoom B3 (third slot AcBsPre always on, set flat only utilizing the Depth parameter as HPF set to around 40Hz)> Boss FV-50H >> Trace Elliot GP75SM 130W 15" (via Tuner Out)>> Joyo Orange Juice (always on)> Behringer BEQ700 (always on)>> Dynacord Bass King 50W with 15" cab
*These 3 pedals are used stacked and the California is run at low gain so that it mainly works as tone shaper for my MT-2>Tube Zipper fuzz sound (also the Harley Benton California TrueTone pedal is basically just a relabeled Joyo California Sound pedal)

Got a cheap DOD FX20B Stereo Phaser. Digging it so far. Not something I'll use often, but fun nonetheless. Found it on CL for $20. Definitely worth that!
I hadn't listened to them in a LONG time, had a roommate who loved them around them time Temple of the Morning Star came out. I never really got them. Steve Austin always seemed so artificial, like he worked hard to be "aggressive." Seeing them around the same time as seeing Deadguy, His Hero is Gone, Harvest, Kiss it Goodbye, or Buzzov-en certainly didn't help their case, either. All of those bands left it all on the stage, without the pretense. I probably saw them 8 or 10 times from '97 to '01, and never left thinking they were the high point of the night.

Ok stoners/doomers: need your help. Not for me, this is for my main man. My buddy is fixing my Guild and in the meantime loaning me his Gibson Thunderbird. I want to thank him for always putting my musical output first. Always ahead of what he's trying to do. I'm pretty sure he wants a dirt machine like a big muff but with mucho mids. First thought is a Dunwich. Any other fuzzy/bassy pedals I should consider? I wanna get something real nice for him as a thank you. Important detail: it doesnt have to sound good in the mix, he's trying to do a solo bass thing.
Nothing too impressive but thought some of you might dig the small atlas/orange rig from a few weeks ago.

Not too impressive? Shoot, that's awesome IMO. I got a buddy who played through one of those Orange heads and damn that 200w of tube sounded amazing. But for real that jam spot looks killer along with the gear.
Haha well considering all the huge stacks of vintage sunn and peavey that some dudes post it's a little tame. I do have some stuff headed my way pretty soon though.
The orange is rad! It took me a few weeks to get used to the eq but now that I dialed it in I love it.
That spot is a tiny bar here in El Paso, Texas. We opened for a band from Chicago called lume and we were both way louder than that poor place could handle. It ruled.

Maybe the Blackout Effectors - Musket Fuzz?
This thing have all the controls you can dream of.
My standard fuzz answer - Pharaoh Supreme. Or if the mix isn't a concern, the Supercollider. Cool way to thank him!
A personal favorite of mine, used more for guitar than bass though, is the EQD Acapulco Gold. The thing rips, and easy to dial in, sounds good wherever you set it!! hahahaha another one that is similar is the EQD Bellows fuzz driver.
One that I've wanted to check out that sounds awesome in demos is the Way Huge Russian Pickle. Sounds so thick and wooly.
Blackout Musket, Pharaoh Supreme, Supercollider, EQD AG + Bellows... great start for me to do some digging. Thanks, peeps!
I'll have a take on the Dungeon Master after tomorrow when it gets to me. I'm looking forward to some apeshitesque tonage.
