With all this new gear you really need to drop some soundclips. I'd love to hear that bass even more, though...

I know I need to join the modern world and start using my digital recorded and get familiar soundcloud or similar. I just ordered a 500K pot for the Dimarzio and going to the parallel wiring that Dimarzio suggests. I thought because there was a single coil on board I should use all 250K pots and figured wiring in series would be the best. So I need to record it as it is now and with the 500K and parallel for the mudbucker to let my ears decide what is best. I got the second build starting soon too, the Jazz bass with Gibson USA Thunderbird pickups to get going also. JMac did the routes for me on the body and it will land tomorrow. You and your band have me wanting to pick up a Whammy now too LOL. There is a pseudo Leslie sound you can coax out of the Hardwire Chorus that is pretty trippy I was fooling with last night. The Hardwire Phaser is pretty damn sweet too, not sure I would give up my Small Stone for it but for digital those Hardwire's sure are suprising me.
Oh and more on that Mudbucker. I had the 800RB set on 9 o'clock, turned off the single coil pup and kicked on the Joyo UD and the capo and string cleaner thingy I had sitting on top of the GK went flying off the top. All I could think was man you guys on here most have so much fun playing at those high volumes with all that air hitting them in the back!

Looking at a craigslist gear ad and it mentioned the band so I looked them up... Lol it's a Christian metal band and this one super dorky looking member is wearing a shirt that says he's part of the "sex slave resistance for Nepal".

It's a wife beater which really conflicts with a supposedly serious message. Also what kind of resistance does a broke texas based Christian metal guy provide any of the women of Nepal?

And why only for Nepal...
I hope the Yeti aren't in on that shite man, those shady hairy bastards...

When I saw Dixie Dave roll to the bar at Strange Matter all I thought was if someone hugs him they me be wearing that smell for a week. One of my friends, buys the best clothes, stereo gear, cars, etc but man if you hug him or help him move a speaker or something you are doomed for the whole night, sheesh, we would be out in the field for up to 5 days with no shower in Guard and none of the dudes smelled as bad as my buddy. And to think people have only been bathing regularly for maybe a 100 years or less, imagine what the world used to be like, Yuck!

Yeah, I was gonna say, am I the only in here that washes their hands regularly? I don't smoke or handle choice nugs, but I do a lot of work with my hands and get dirty. So I wash my hands pretty frequently and try to keep clean. Especially if I'm doing woodwork for something that is going to be stain grade, I don't want grubby fingerprints all over it. I used to be terrible about keeping my basses clean, when I was gigging and touring more regularly. Now I'm fastidious about cleaning my instruments, wiping down my strings and washing my hands before and after I play.

No luck for me lately. Found a couple settings that keeps my low end in the Pharaoh, but now one of my delays bought the farm. Yesterdaay it didn't work at all and today it has an insane humming noise and if I crank aany pot it will shut down all my pedals afterwards in the chain.

I shaging hate people who stink. The pit at Red Fang had these two crust punk looking people who you could smell from 10 feet away. I think toast touched them with his arm because his arm smelled like dead poopie after the show haha.

I keep myself clean - I bathe regularly, wear deodorant and wash my hands. I'll clean off my bass when I notice it starting to get dirty.

I do a lot gardening and outdoors stuff in the summer so I'll sweat a lot and get covered with dirt - but I don't stink. I wash the dirt off my hands when I'm done, but I'm not bothered by it while I'm working. There's a long list of other nasty things that bother me more than mud/soil/dirt.

The first time I opened for Weedeater was about 12 years ago - hadn't heard of them or seen photos of them beforehand. We were done with our set and I was standing around driking beer and waiting for the next band when someone punched my shoulder from behind. I turned around and before I know what was happening I was locked in a funky-ass bearhug with Dixie. He still had the super long dreads at the time, which didn't help his stank situation. He hugged me, told me how much he liked my band and how psyched he was to be there. Turned into a long conversation and those dudes ended up crashing at our place after the show. But man, did he stink.

I remembered you saying that before and why I was all Stank Nervous at the show LOL, not that he was going to hug some yocal at the bar but I was in borderline nose range of him.

They're pretty close though I think the BW has some different settings not on a normal Whammy IV or V. FWIW, I sold my Whammy DT to get the BW and I think the BW tracks just a hair better but it's pretty close.

I'm just not understanding how you could actually stink and not care. I am a pretty fastidious guy when it comes to that. I'm waaaaayyy to self aware.

It's seems appropriate that I take this time to mention, if I haven't before, that I have no sense of smell. In that sort of case I think my wife's general opinion in calling it a super power and not a disability, would be right on track.

It's quite wonderful and draws the opposite sex for miles. Really quite the burden.

I smell good every time I don't have a bass in my hands, although I can't say the same about my band. Their in also unable to accept responsibility for the stink either, they all blame on each other.

I do clean my bass as well, but my beer consumption gets in the way of my ambitions to not have a gnarly resin bass.

With all of that being said, I wouldn't want to be in a small room with us either lol.
