Askrere, why not just go with a powerful micro head? That new Peavey does 1K watts, as does a Terror Bass. You could always use it as a power amp by going into the preamp in. Just a thought.

I have a gk mb500, and would like to try that peavey or the terror bass.
The Demeter VTBP-201 was a freak find at $20 and I can't decide yet if I should flip it. It's like the best version of said tube pre, and has a great Jensen DI in it. I feel like if I get rid of it I'd be always regretting it. If I keep it though I need to give it a decent home.
I'd also consider throwing it in a box with one of those carvin or peavey tube power amps, if one could be found cheap.
Just catching up after a super busy couple of days at work, so many things have been talked about I am interested in! I'm on the app so can't be bothered to quote but touching on a few things people have said...
I've decided to go BEAD with the T-40, going to get it done professionally this time though. I use that .145 string mentioned on my Squier and it's great but opting for power slinkys this time. We shall see if they hold up!
I'm also using a rat (tail) for fast and low riffs, best I've found for that so far!
My DiMarzio model Js also make my bluebeard crap out at full volume
Just got the VT bass DI yesterday, not had much time to play with it but sounds good instantly, not a huge "wow" from it but I appreciate it sounds good so that probably has more lasting value.
Ordered a polytune mini noir too, should make things on the nano sit a bit better, hopefully get it tomorrow!

I ran power slinkies on my BFR HS5. I actually really liked those strings for B tuning. Ate up my fingers, but they sounded really good.

If the world was just I could rack my gk mb500 with the Demeter, and somehow switch between using the gk pre or the Demeter into its 500 watts.

When I was young kid I found what I thought was a semi soiled cat toy shaped like a mouse outside. Then the girl I was with got wide eyes taught me about tampons and how I shouldn't pick them off the ground.
Put power slinkies on my atk 5er and I'm really liking them. They're a bit more "classic" or "vintage" sounding than some of the other strings I've been using.
Never saw a flat EQ switch before, well sort of with Hartke and amps with normal and slider EQ's.
