What I'm saying is the S was all about clean. Never really able to get any OD grit tones out of it. This was before I messed with dirt pedals so I flipped it since the band I was in dissolved.

I have a gk mb500, and would like to try that peavey or the terror bass.

The Demeter VTBP-201 was a freak find at $20 and I can't decide yet if I should flip it. It's like the best version of said tube pre, and has a great Jensen DI in it. I feel like if I get rid of it I'd be always regretting it. If I keep it though I need to give it a decent home.

I'd also consider throwing it in a box with one of those carvin or peavey tube power amps, if one could be found cheap.

I'm looking to move my Carvin tube power amp...pm me if you're interested.

Yeah, I was going through the whole "How can I make my active bass with humbuckers sound less hi-fi and modern?" conundrum and those strings were exactly what I needed - especially after they lost the new-string zing.

Yeah, I was going through the whole "How can I make my active bass with humbuckers sound less hi-fi and modern?" conundrum and those strings were exactly what I needed - especially after they lost the new-string zing.

I love the tone of my sterling with them. Also dug the tone of chrome flats on my Stingray. I am contemplating the Dingwall nickle strings for my AB1, and wondering if I can swing chrome flats on it as well. Not sure about ordering an XL set for the multi scale length.

Just more volume, and low end. 1150 vs 100 makes a bit of a difference.

Well all electric machete stuff fell apart this week but metal band has a show tomorrow. Any one rest their hand on their bridge and get cut? If so any solutions other then tape or a cover............ And changing my playing style

never cut but if the bridge is poopy itll be uncomfortable. make a ghetto bridge cover, the G3 i just bought had a home made bridge cover. looks pretty funny but damn if it doesnt do the job of protecting my wrist.

I'm everywhere but I'll get cut there. Easy sputum is a standard fender cover since it's the black p bass just think after it's all black to will be weird looking. Going to put some black tape over it for the next gig just wondering and solutions or maybe a better bridge option. It's a mim style bridge. FYI no BA bridges
