So nice having the Terror Bass back, it's like the dual purpose motorcycle of bass and guitar, works well on both to me anyway.
Idk, I use the 9v out with more ma on my supply, my chorus is 9/18v, so I put it on the 18v, but mine says it can right on the box. I'd google many times to confirm.
Last day in the studio. Vox and final mixing. All this waiting and us trying to record has been worth it. It's gonna sound fvcking amazeballs.

Since picking up my (seriously awesome) Aria it's tone has been a bit of an obsession. Been scouring the classifieds for used Dimarzio P pickups to put in something more comfortable. Been a couple of weeks but just about every other brand of pickup has been through the listings here. I believe I'm going to have to do the unthinkable: buy new.

Truths. Here's my buddy running a strat into the complete board into the v3/dually. Unleashing his signature "depressive d-beat sadness", as well as some intense noise with him going crazy on the guitar while I ran between the pedals and the amp and he'd stomp the reverb.
That stomp is fun, it was listed at $90, but I offered and got it for $70 and it turned out the seller was the V3 dude lol.
Also anyone who is wondering that spring king is a true spring reverb and is a metal box, reviews online were saying things like plastic digital box... Not true at all. It's perfect because the Demeter/TS100 setup (Thanks Ron!) won't have reverb.
On the strings... really? I've only used GHS strings once, and to me they sounded very different, way muddier than the strings I normally use. Maybe I used a different series?I'll have to check out the welding glove option for my paw so it doesn't get cut up. So show last night was F'n awesome, even being minus a guitar player. The rig (black p, SVT, demon, nuke) slays and sounded perfect. Going to take the rat tail and woolly mammoth off the board. I prefer the demon over the rat and the mammoth was just quiet on the board in this setup. The nuke boost a solid winner and killed it last night when i needed some bumps in volume. Need to find a noise box to replace the mammoth for feed back. Going to try to mess with the second switch on the nuke fist as I was boost only last night. Black tape did ok on the bridge but kept wanting to come off. Some mentioned a Hipshot type A so I'll look into that. Black P is about 85% done and after a bridge swap, headstock dye and propped string tree she will be ready. Also used those .120 daddarios last night and they sounded and felt good. Didn't notice much tonal difference over the GHS I had before. The slightly smaller gage is nice even for the drop b it's tuned in. Double bonus i take those peds off and straight back to the electric machete board. Got another early track from the guitar player and if this drummer works out the new stuff will sound WAY better then the early stuff. On a super high this morning even with only 4 hours sleep and having to work on a Saturday.

Ohhhhhh, I see. The Aria has the Dimarzio P-style pickups, and they sound great, but the Samick feels better, even though it sounds kinda lousy.

Well, last night my basement jam band got together and decided on a loose set list for our first and probably last public appearance, a friend's 4th of July soirée.
I was going old Peavey Foundation S (sporting the old Schaller/ DiMarzio P & J pickups, mentioned only to raise mbelue's jealousy)' into a SansAmp BDDI set to SVT tone, into the power amp input on Ye Olde Peavey Combo 300.
Darned if it didn't sound pretty damn good. I hadn't been playing the Peavey very much, mainly the SS SX, and the Peavey had such a better tone. Deeper, more authoritative.
So, we played through a clam field of Beatles, The Who, and some other stuff, and decided it's time to say "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" And face the slings and arrows of our drunken friends.

To answer both of you, my friend was really liking it. I found it a bit too bass heavy, but he was in such tonal heaven I didn't say anything. I'm a kinda brash tone guy on guitar and bass... Like my low end and the dually gives it, but tonally I should have sculpted the v3 more or the fabtone. I need to go full ice pick to determine the amount of high end it can provide. No complaints yet, it's still getting
broken in so lows are kinda hairy when I dime them and the master on my mb500. Which
I think the switch on the v3 for EQ goes from active to passive tone stack or it's busted as there's a volume drop. Busted still sounds good though :/
I haven't played a git through the crate yet, my cousin did acoustic electric through it but I was drunk. I'll try it tonight after I get home from the bar
I really liked the classic 30, but I had a after party speaker, tube tamer, JJ tubes and a rare matching 1x12 extension speaker that I kept close backed. I also had my favorite guitar I ever played at the time, and basically learned on it so it's like a super soft spot to me.
