Got pretty quiet over here all of a sudden.

Wanted to add a music recommendation, Eye the Tide by Spaceslug:


Their first 2 records were good spaced out doom, but this one is straight out fantastic. There's a touch of black metal vox and even a blast beat tucked in there. Very much their own sound.

Great album. It was one of my favorites of 2018.

On the subject of good music and 2018, here's something that might not have gotten a lot of attention:



I like it a lot, and am looking forward to what they do next.

Everyone must be having the same kind of week I am. In good news scratch tracking wemt well saturday and we got all, but one song scratched, which is our longest song at almost 20 minutes. We are going to track bass this saturday since our drummer is unnavailable. Hopefully we can make some good progress on that.

Got it put together this afternoon. The EHX muff gets the nod over my diy one as its not as noisy and it has a noise gate. I've since picked up the few 1ft cables i needed to finish it off.

So ive been rocking a greenboy dually with faitals for a few years now. Maybe its the room we are in versus our normal room, but it just isnt putting out the low end i remember it having. It could be my ignorance, but when speakers fail they usually start making bad sounds right? Can speakers go out in a way that they just lose low end? Could be that im just going deaf though.
Ive been playing guitar in my band for a long time now, so i havent really sat down and listened to this cabinet alone in awhile and im just not as impressed with it as i used to be.

I have always loved mine. It definately feels different than an 8x10. Its for sure atleast as loud. But the lower mid content is different. I would say a sealed 8x10 is a little more thumpy in the chest and the dually with faitals extends a little lower (or atleast mine has in the past). Its alot brighter than any 8x10 ive ever played amd tends to have a little more present upper mid content. To the point where even with a fender tone stuck i still dont have the mids all up cus it gets to be too much.

Love this band. I really liked Mountains and Reminiscence. Eye the Tide is a very creative album.
