Actually your band's name is cool as f*ck and I listed it to my drummer as an example of "band names I like" (he was coming with a lot of cheesy metal stuff )

We settled on a band name recently... Jupiter AM, named after the first American ships launched to space manned by monkeys (pun intended). My last band name was so verbose, I'm pretty psyched about this one! I'll see how I feel after I say it 100 times, but I think we all dig it for now.
Same here... It was much easier before the internet, now anything I can think about has already been taken and even if it's some local band from another continent we will never hear about or see live it stops me from using it

Seconded. I always thought Jane's Addiction was a stupid band name, but they're one of the all-time greats. Yep, Radiohead too. An awesome name isn't gonna help a sh*tty band, but an awesome band can overcome its name.
There are those band name generator websites. Most of the names they come up with suck, but sometimes they strike gold. For instance: Weird Mom Cult
The Orange Wizard Boogaloos first album could be called Black Magic Boogie-down
I try to keep/maintain a list of good ones, because you never know.... Somebody I used to work with on music had ass loads of great names, but that guy was also crazy. That bridge burned down, otherwise I'd be using a couple of them today.
This came out a few years back but is new to me. Bell Witch meets Om? Theres a spaced out middle eastern vibe. Definitely not paint by numbers doom.

Or you could go in the opposite direction and max out on the cheese factor. Life is short, put "bong" in your band name.
(I should make clear that Bongripper is both (a) an awesome band, and (b) a great band name.)
Neither am I, but I'm also not a Wizard and I wouldn't hesitate to throw Wizard in the cheesy doom name bingo game.
Only difference is I would feel like a poser to espouse a stoner image when I am no stoner. No one reads the name Electric Wizard and expects wizards. But name your band Bongclearer and I would think your audience would be right to assume you partake in the green stuff. Ymmv
Oh the beer definitely got in the amp. Right now my optimism is I can’t find anything burnt, the tubes all still have vacuum. Not much liquid went down on top but some. It looks the driver tube base was damp so cleaned everything with deoxit and we will see.
