Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

our name is terrible. i don't know how we thought it was a good idea. however i feel it eventually takes on an identity of it's own. it's like people diassociate the original meaning from the band. don't over think it. it's not that important, as long as it's easy to find in a google search.
Actually your band's name is cool as f*ck and I listed it to my drummer as an example of "band names I like" (he was coming with a lot of cheesy metal stuff )

Seconded. I always thought Jane's Addiction was a stupid band name, but they're one of the all-time greats. Yep, Radiohead too. An awesome name isn't gonna help a sh*tty band, but an awesome band can overcome its name.
 
I try to keep/maintain a list of good ones, because you never know.... Somebody I used to work with on music had ass loads of great names, but that guy was also crazy. That bridge burned down, otherwise I'd be using a couple of them today.
 
No one reads the name Electric Wizard and expects wizards.
