Nah, we're just the only ones actually practicing bass while all these health nuts are running up their heart rate and taking time off their tickers they are, literally, running themselves straight towards death ....I guess I'm the only lazy-ass of this group then. . .
I support this 110%. Bass, bbq, vodka and beer is a diet.Nah, we're just the only ones actually practicing bass while all these health nuts are running up their heart rate and taking time off their tickers they are, literally, running themselves straight towards death ....
how's THAT for rationalization?

I mean, its fun? I'm a trail runner and I find running for 14 miles to be quite relaxing. It kind of depends on your idea of fun though. I find trail running to be a lot more fun and interesting than going out and pounding out a similar length run on the road or track or whatever. roads are so boring.
hey, as long as it helps ease our suffering from the daily pain of existence. or something like that.
This. I love trail running and moved to a place specifically for access to it. I find it infinitely more interesting than road running. It takes a while to build up to the multi hour outings or real technical terrain, but those are the runs I find most meditative & cathartic.
All that said, running is definitely one of those that some people just can’t find the enjoyment in. I understand completely. If it’s not your jam try circuit training, mtb, sprints, KB training, whatever. Just find something you can be motivated to do and find some enjoyment in that will benefit your endurance on stage, if that’s the goal.
I've been meaning to take up running for 5 years now. Full time job, spouse & 3 kids, live-in mother in law with early alzheimers, band, etc give me lots of excuses not to. But mainly I'm too lazyMy brother has managed to find enjoyment in it, so im sure its in there somewhere. Just hard to get going after having a 100% sedentary lifestyle working in an IT callcenter. Not to mention being like 6'2 270 lbs, got alot of mass to get moving! Luckily its starting to cool off outside, I started this when it was like 110vdegrees outside so I probably couldnt have picked a worse time.
This thread has hit a new low (I went back and forth on whether to use high or low, and with the usual content, this is definitely not high).
LEAST STONER/DOOM CONVERSATION EVER.
...and I really enjoy power lifting and running with the teams I coach. I'm a teacher and coach after school sports. My most recent achievement is that as a 6', 235 lbs, 38 year-old, I have the forth fastest 40 on my team... I showed those 8th graders who's boss.
Sounds like Monolord to me.Whats more doom than the masochism in excersize. Destroy your body to build anew.
Destroy - erase - improveWhats more doom than the masochism in excersize. Destroy your body to build anew.
Yeah, you really ruined the thread man, thanks a lot! Reposting so that we can all see what @thombo did. This is definitely a real post and not fabricated in any way.
