well the horse does end up dead but is reincarnated as the Pegasus constellation and the flower lives on! so it's kind of a feel good story but still doomy at the same time. :)

no we used the same guy/studio as the previous two albums. We just experimented more and pushed him a little outside of his comfort zone. Some of our suggestions during mixing were met with a "really? you want to do that?!" :) We also only recorded the drums live this time with guitars and bass being tracked seprately after compared to everything live (except overdubs) on the last two. So there is still a bit of a live feel but it also more polished than before.

The quest for dirty tones negates the transgression.

Where do you get your boxes and materials for shipping? It'd be pedals, rack gear, amps etc not guitars so far. I think I should try reverb. Also need to link my account to paypal to stop the fees.

Boxes I get from work, and cut down to fit what ever size I need. For amps/cabs I use 2" foam from menards.

I used these for pedals when I don't have anything smaller saved from pedals I got in, free and shipped right to your door. I try and save boxes and packing material from when I receive gear. I shred paper when I run out of bubble wrap. I get boxes from work and guitar boxes from GC, Sam Ash, and the local guitar shop, you could probably get amp cardboard there too.

I found my other long cable so I messed around with putting my OD>dist>chorus... At that point it goes one side straight into my crate 50 watt tube combo, it set to clean with bass totally cut and mids and treble maxed. Then the other end of the chorus goes into the spring king, then delay set for not even one whole repeat into the v3/dually with treble and presence totally cut and bass 3/4 and mids maxed (as well as reverb maxed, but I can switch it off with the footswitch).

This gives me a crazy stackable palette. I can go both amps clean, then stack the v3 dirt channel in for one sided low end dirt, or stack all that reverb and modulation, or I can stack the dirt pedals to both amps at one for a super dirty tone.

I also just added the intellipitch in so I can octave up the crate or something. I could also with another cable or two since that unit is stereo refeed one side to the v3 as well and have a spider web of interaction.

Point is I'm digging stereo.
