I like getting chopped red onion, feta cheese and Greek seasonings in my burger meat. Then hummus andGreek yogurt the bun, lettuce, tomato, olive And more onion. Greek burgers.

I made carnitas with plantains today. Found the most delicious, easy and cheapest method to date.

Morning fellas - got a pre-migraine aura thing going on - can't see my monitor very well so excuse any typos.

Bag End is classy stuff and a great company. The company I work for is a Bag End dealer and the owner of the company will show up in his van to personally deliver product.

One of my coworkers has an ancient Peavey power amp, sansamp and a Bag End 1x18 that's probably deeper than it is wide - sounds AMAZING.

I always take excedrin first thing when I feel those coming on.

There is a "dirtiest amp?" Thread going on over in amps. Daily I am tempted to hope in and say,

"The dirtiest, and loudest thing I have ever plugged in to....

Figure they wouldn't appreciate that kind of feed back though.

There's just so much to catch up with every day. I don't always read everything, but I don't want to miss something cool. Like in-progress pics of Corey's amp. Gotta catch all of those.

They've been getting more frequent lately - usually 4-6 ibuprofen will make it tolerable enough to get through the day, sometimes not. I've got a big day of business meetings with vendors, which I guess is better than sitting in front of a computer (pretty much useless until this passes - can't read excel sheets to save my life right now). I just hope they don't see me wincing from a burst of eye-stabbing and think I'm wincing at something they said.

Luckily it's all people I know and have worked with a lot in the past - so it shouldn't be too bad.

If it gets really bad I'm heading home for a beer and some quality time with a dark room.

Ibuprofen works more for muscle aches, for me. Excedrin plus sometimes more caffeine via coffee or cola is what does it for my migraines.

I paid for my new iMac yesterday, to be my new recording computer, also upgraded to Logic X. I can still feel the missing chunk of cash, like a phantom limb.

I've had them on and off since I was in junior high school - no real triggers that I know of, I've tried every preventative thing out there. What I've really found to work the best is a handful of ibuprofen chased with a beer as soon as I start to notice aura symptoms. It won't kill the migraine but it takes just enough of the edge off.

I don't like the recent increased frequency, if it keeps up I'll have to see my worthless Primary Care doc. Not in a hurry to go down that road.

Lack of sleep makes them happen more easily, it seems. Same with the weather being really hot. Plus dehydration does it every time. When I get dehydrated, I get a headache that invariably turns into a migraine, regardless of whether or not I fix the dehydration. It's really annoying.

But I still get migraines sometimes for none of those reasons, not doing anything differently than days I don't get them. So who knows. Also, if your doctor sucks, you should change doctors.

I have a tendancy to go over board at first then dial back. Right now the VT is offering a simple SVT tone stack for the dirt pedals to crush. What I'm fighting is clarity in the band mix and need more mids. Too much bass just sounds like mush with the riffs were rolling with. I'm also not focusing on playing the songs right with my mind overly concerned about settling on a good sounding tone over all. I've stripped down the board needs to a tuner>Trace Elliott SMX compressor>Dirt option 1 or Dirt option 2. The VT is an interesting beast and probably in the end going to work. Just need to get comfortable with it. Interesting is the sugessted SVT settings for SVT has very little drive or charicter applied. It's really hard for me to dial somthing at home in then take the rig to a completely different room and it be worthy.

I have my VT pedal set pretty much exactly between the SVT and B-15 setting on the character knob. The EQ I just mess with until it sounds good. Same with the drive knob.

Mostly it's just a backup or open mic thing.

This is something I really struggle with. I think the bass in front of the pedal makes more difference due to output signal.

For me, I run a Aguilar TH as a pre (depending on the amp I am using), and sometimes distortion. Solo, the tone is ok. In the mix it sounds pretty good. Every time I try a really nice pedal in the mix, it doesnt impress me enough to drop a bunch of cash on it.

Meh, as most know, I'm not a big fan of pedals. For overdrive, they tend to usually be too fizzy, or over the top, or woolly, or mushy. The VT Bass pedal is the only one I've played through that sounds near as good as my amp, and then it's still only near.

I do like my big muff for the over the top fuzzed out, wah parts, but it is damn near useless without the wah going as well. Gets completely lost in the mix.

im with you on this. you can always hear slight differences but not enough to warrant going fuzz crazy. i do hear the difference between muff circuits and regular overdrives tho, the muffs have a much more wooly sound, and a lot of less bite. but its like anything, some people have crazy sensitive ears and can pick out things a lot better.

however, i can definitely tell when a fuzz/distortion cannot handle any sort of low end and flubs out all over the place. plenty of pedals do this and they sound awful lol.

Yeah. That woolly character sounds cool, but for me doesn't work very well without something else going on if the guitars are playing.

So Reverb tells me the seller put his Paypal address down wrong in his profile. So Reverb sent me his Paypal name and wants me to pay him directly but will still back the purchase. So I go to pay the guy with the guy's paypal address and Paypal says it isn't registered. I can tell if the seller is half-retardded with goals or a con man at this point. It shouldn't be so hard to buy something, argh. So now I have the cash waiting for the paypal to be approved. I know I can cancel if it goes South but goddamn this is getting old.

On kids and music. I get so excited when Micah sings the guitar lines instead of just singing the lyrics. Like he is actually listening to the music and maybe there is a guitarist or bassist in the make. I bought him that drum set but he lost interest, too much into his Nintendo DS now, maybe he will come back around or at least if he gets the I want to be in band bug I can get him to learn the drums instead of the French horn LOL.

Yesterday I redirected a guy from ebay that wanted to make me an offer on my GK. I said go over to TB and I don't have to pay the ebay ten percent and it will be cheaper for you too. He signed up and immediately paid me. Shipping it out this morning. People seem to dig Reverb and I bought two pedals on there easy as pie, I think I just run aground a real dolt stumpjumper because it is like dumb lack of basic computer knowledge issues. I really just want to back out and buy elsewhere, but I haggled with the dude and promised to buy it and like to stand by my word. I am just worried he will be too stupid to probably box it up and it will get damaged or when I open the package he will be standing there saying Oh Oops I must of packed myself up instead of the guitar, yuk yuk yuk.

Insist on the shipper you trust and if the price is right offer a slight discount to cover shipping cost difference.

I just bought a driver brought the classifieds here and the seller wanted me to do a money transfer. I insisted on PayPal he relented but still asked for a PayPal gift. I offered to pay the the PayPal fees and he accepted. He got paid now I've got some protection. I'd rather spend a little more for security even if I might lose the transaction.

international shipping is the best. you are 0% responsible for anything that goes wrong, and all international buyers are well aware. as long as you get in writing to him that you are not responsible for the instrument once it crosses the US border, you are good to go.
