Not often, but I like the old DOD Bass Stereo Flanger a lot. Also the Joyo Flanger. Both pretty cheap and solid. No experience with fancier ones, but these get the job done for me.

I had a boss flanger. I preferred phaser any time I wanted 'movement' so I didn't use it often and eventually flipped it.
I use an old Boss hi-band flanger; it's very subtle, honestly I really only use it together with my chorus to add even more warble. If I were to want a more conventional flanger sound, I'd probably switch to an MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe; it has a flanger mode and a really nice crossover feature as well and IMO they sound excellent together.
It's not getting here until next Thursday! Feels like such a long wait.
I keep thinking I want to try flanger in place of my EHX Bass Clone Chorus. I had a DOD Bass Flanger way back in the day that I shouldn't have sold. I remember it being really metallic sounding but that could have been my GK rig with the tweeter in the cab paired with a bright active bass.
I have the MXR 117, but it's not even on my board anymore... I like spacey and weird modulation effects a lot but they don't fit anywhere in anything I write
I have also an amazing Boss delay with a ton of weird options... cool but never used it in any song. Maybe I'll sell that one too.
BTW the MXR sounds badass, but it's 18 volts and this is a PITA...
Yeah, I've never been a giant fan of flangers, still have a purple Boss flanger that my wife brought to the marriage. I'd sell it, but it just seems like it's wrong to make any money off an effect I dislike so much.
So, yeah, I prefer some kind of phaser-ish effect. I'm actually using a Uni-Vibe for this, but since found I really prefer tremolo on the one song that I was using it on, it's decoration on my board these days until I find a replacement or a reason to use it.
I use the flanger on the zoom stomp, love it. I have heard the boss bass flanger is good, same with the ehx electric mistress. I prefer it a bit to chorus because it can be more interactive than the constant flux of a chorus. The one on the zoom can get real chewy too. Works better than a phaser with clean tones in my experience, though phasers are a ton of fun.
I know the feeling, I worked out a deal and ordered a BTA in late May. Was holding off till it arrived to announce but I learned of some interesting development recently. Turns out that due to covid that none other than Mark himself is wiring and building the amp, to top that off I shot them an email to see if there was any ETA. Sure enough within 20min, I got a reply saying he was building it right now and the cabinet just came in yesterday. To top it off it was Mark who replied and we started a conversation. Great guy and I've never been so pumped to get an amp.
What's interesting that I didn't know is that the preamp is still SS, with the blendable tube gain. So it's a very interacting and powerful eq, with blendable grit like the ABM, but a huge tube driven power section. I don't think it's a common topology.
I normally push the preamp hard, but wondering if I'm gonna prefer pushing the power section hard and keeping the input low.
Haven't been this pumped for a long time! For anyone interested, I think they have 2 more left and the price is amazing. 1229GBP shipped. With the exchange rate low it was only like $1500. $500 less than I've ever seen em go for used in the States! I thought about getting a second to flip.

The BCD is great for chorus, but for my tastes, it’s not so great for Flanger. That said, I prefer fast Chorus and slow Flange, so it could be that I just don’t like that one on the same settings, making the dual function of that pedal useless for me. Ok, so that’s exactly my problem, but regardless, I still prefer my old DOD Bass Flanger when I put them head to head.
I love my DOD Bass Flanger. And just about every DOD I’ve ever played... Sounds great to me with my GK and active bass (with flats)!
I like phaser, but use it on guitar. Not sure why. I should try it again on bass. They’re both fun, just don’t know why I haven’t done phasers on bass much. Any leads on cheap but decent bass flangers?
I agree, I love super fast chorus. Don't use it that much that fast but still fun. Slow flange is where it's at IMO. I usually use slow rate, high res.
So I just looked up the patches on my zoom. The flanger is modeled after the ADA flanger.
Just found out that the new firmware update includes a ton more effects including the Rat! Really pumped to try that when I get home.

I have a Boss BF-3 and quite like it but it currently isn't on my board because it doesn't fit any of the songs in my band's set.
Mine was the boss bf-2. Great flanger, just I didn't use much modulation and when I did I prefered phaser.
I love all things swirly, both on bass and guitar.
I've got the Mooer Eleclady (discontinued now, but it seems they only changed the name to e-lady) - a surprisingly good pedal.
I've also got the Alexander F.13, but just can't find a sweet spot on that thing for some reason.
Also, recently I've acquired a Made in Japan Boss BF-2, mostly because of Tool's 46&2 intro, but didn't have time to play with it yet much.

Long shot - anybody know the difference between a standard Pharaoh Fuzz and the Russian spec ones? Tempted to buy a cheap clone and mod it to Russian spec, assuming it’s a simple cap swap or something. The Russian spec ones sound great in the few demos I’ve heard. Maybe also diode swap or something. MOSFET clipping possibly.
