Really curious about it, seems like my cup of teaSo my bands in the middle of mastering our album. We got our second revisions and Alan Douches has done an incredible job helping this thing sound professional and not like it was recorded in my machine shop. Now Im starting to get nervous since its pretty much complete musically. We make some pretty anti social music, is anyone else going to like it lmao. Super esoteric lyrics and pretty singing mixed with some kidney crushing screams and ugly disonant riffs. Starting to worry we make music that no one else can love. Scary to start thinking about putting our baby out in the world to get judged.

)Thanks a lot mate... I'm sorry I bothered you all with this stupid problem, in the end I had a few very depressive days and I can't even remember anymore what I was doing. This weekend I'll try to pick up the thread again of this stuff. ThanksSo youre using 2 mics on the cab on different speakers and one in the room? Id probably still recommend just blanketing it off and running through once just to s3e if it gets rid of that unwanted noise. If it does then you know adding some fiberglass panels will do you good. If it doesnt get rid of it thwn you know its not a resonant frquency in the room and it might be a resonation with the cab itself. I had issues with that on our songs i ended up having to add reinforcement to my baffle brace and an extra screw on the rear panel to the brace to make it more rigid.
Take care friend <3Thanks a lot mate... I'm sorry I bothered you all with this stupid problem, in the end I had a few very depressive days and I can't even remember anymore what I was doing. This weekend I'll try to pick up the thread again of this stuff. Thanks![]()

And I can relate a lot with fear/anxiety to release your stuff out there... We should have sent a song for a compilation these days... in the end we didn't. My bro wanted to. It was my insecurities, my paranoias, my "it's not good enough yet" (after 2 years spent to "refine"), my "the recording sucks", etc. My drummer said at some point I should admit this is the best I could do, and throw myself into things... And he said I'm waiting for a perfection that we'll never achieve, and a perfect moment that will never come. He probably is right.
I'm sooo jealous you played with Primitive Man!!)

It's that time again stone doomers, sorry it's been a while since I rapped at ya. Moving house is srs biznezz and the dust is slowly starting to settle. Got most of the junk where it seems happy though not wired for sound & recording yet. The new room lacks carpet and will need serious sound treatment ideas that don't look like rando rehearsal space horsesheeeit. Sharing the room with Mrs. cornfarmer and want to make it look good to her so she won't mind me dominating 80% of it with my stuff.
Also this mint condition Epi non reverse T-bird with the Geezer pickups came along for a steal of a deal, and it's being sized up for another Fenderbird conversion.....square heel, so I'm hoping maybe a Tele style bass neck might fit without firing up the router.

I would have been disappointed if they were not antisocial.Yeah. They seemed like nice enough dudes, a little antisocial maybe, but with their music I guess thats what youd expect.
.
I think growing up listening to all the punk compilations, bootlegs, and lofi bedroom recordings gave me the guts to just say screw it. I love(d) so many of those awesome and rough recordings in all their ragged glory. If musically it's all there and can be heard, I'd say send it.
For me that was never the point, but I don't know what's the point anymore. My motivation is gone, and all this is getting increasingly aimless with time. But judgement would hurt nonetheless, I had put all my heart in these songs.Yeah, I'm in the camp that at the end of the day thinks ya should get the recording where you're comfortable enough with it that you can live with it, and get it out there. Getting it out there is the most important part, in the end.
Correction: *Bassists threadOh hell yeah, Ive been looking for a thread for Doom and stoner bassists for a while now. Now ive found it! Thanks @ZeroSymbolic

I wish I had the strenght and confidence you have, to expose myself and don't give a f… and even have some FUN. Life wouldn't be this heavy.
But that would require a brain transplant.
I don't think I could say it as well @bassboysam. He hit it on the head for me.
If it'll help you, would you be interested in showing us a clip to help you get over that ledge? Even through PM if you don't want it out in the wild yet.
I have already "improved" it (again). The current plan is to re-record it this month so I can learn some proper mixing while I am on vacation ("vacation" from what, I'm not sure
) at my mother's and complete the job.How do you all reason about string height when it comes to doom/drone? I like to play low but I think it's costing me some sustain on the lowest strings which is a shame because I like this height overall.
