Stemming from the previous PUP cover convo, what's the feeling on Ric bridge Pup covers around here? I've never picked one up but I'm pro cover for the rics as far as aesthetics go. Maybe if I ever play one my feeling will change

I like the look of the cover but it's basically right over where I like to play so off it went.

guys i got a fender bass vi mainly because it was cheap and had a wiring issue (easily fixed... just had to touch up a solder joint) and it would be a quick flip but now i wanna keeeeeep it
also fixed up a 68 sunn 200s to sell and the pair sounds AWESOME

You only need for strings. Furthermore, the only bass you should even want to play is a sunburst P with a tort guard and flats. And you’re nuts if you wanna haul around that lead sled - my back hurts just hearing about it.

yeah it's pretty dope. i threw a five way super switch in there so that in the bridge+middle position it's the two single coils plus the bridge stacked jazzmaster pickup split to single. gives a nice hollow bass tone. also added a bigger tone cap because some of the positions can be bright. sometimes i like that but it's nice to dial it out if i need to

Noice! And while it has too many strings, it does have the TB approved Fender/rosewood/tort/sunburst combo.

A bit of an update I guess. I've struck out with the artists I contacted so far. It's sort of a moot point right now anyway because I recently broke up with my girlfriend of 7+ years. She'll be moved out soon, though, so I'll be able to get back to spending time with music. I'm finding some interesting artists on Deviantart and Artstation, so hopefully I won't end up having to do the art myself. I figure the art needs to be good since the music is sure to suck.

I love Jo Bench’s tone in Bolt Thrower, and an Ibanez PD-7 (her preferred pedal) just popped up locally. Should I grab it? Anybody have experience? I know she uses a pick, and likely rounds, and I use flats and fingers. Think I’d get anywhere near her tonal annihilation ballpark? I have plenty of boutique dirt, but nothing quite Bolt Thrower-ish enough...
