Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Hey Ron, I missed it when you posted initially, congrats on the wedding man. Have fun on your honeymoon.
Needs a rack box, but this is the amp setup I made from the church stuff. There's also a crown but until I play through all this when the dually arrives, idk what will stick around. Here's the rundown on the intellipitch I bought, sounds complicated.

- I'd probably do it again
So didn't learn much.

Janitor, I should have totally made a weekend in Madison for your show. Cuda like most Bongzilla project are fuzzrific. So wish I was old enough to see Bongzilla in 90s Madtown.
On topic of stack size, I like a big wall of amps and cabs although I do all my own lifting/every cab I own has wheels. The size is definitely a concern I have about buying a dually. Ill stick to my big cabs. Eventually I am going to put my EVM 15s in a pair of TL606 cabs. But that will be done in an oversized fashion.
Dunwich/Corey, that's some wiring porn right there. Cough cough, coffee table book nick, cough cough.
Bands are going fine, prep for recording next month and writing material.

So it looks like the new bass is a go. I really hope that this doesnt make me hate all my existing basses, and give me eternal GAS for additional Dingwalls.
what do you like so much about the dingwalls? ive played two and they were ok but nothing great. are you really into the fan fret deal? and are you looking at a 5/6 stringer? they seem to specialist is larger ERB basses.
5 string AB1. Looking for that 37" scale length on the low string. I have actually never played one, but I have heard great things. The bass I am looking at getting has double passive split coils on it. Hoping it floats my boat.
I expect instant revulsion. You will open the box and think "kill it." Comforting yourself with scripture"thou shalt not suffer a witch to live", you'll place a foot on the fretboard and pull off the strings one by one. Starting with the devil's B. Your coup de Gras will be delivered with the blunt end of a hammer. I recommend a ball peen.

yeah thats what ive played in 5 and 6 string. have you ever played a fanned fret bass?
Not yet. I will this sunday. One of my buddies has one and is bringing it over.
Started doing some early morning pre-work runs this week instead of lunch time/after work runs. As long as I can haul my carcass out of bed, it's a great way to start the day.
These days it's usually 4-5.5 mi at 8:00 pace four to five days per week. Before I injured my foot a couple years ago I could do a 3:15 marathon.
