Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I'll revisit those.

I'm not sure whose riffs these are, but these tracks of theirs are most recently on my play-along practice list:

Stand In...
Skydancer
Freedom
Outside

Good call on "Outside," that's a really cool bassline!

I've been revisiting their whole discography. "Periscope" is a really nice riff from their early days.

I highly recommend checking out the official Colour Haze live albums, and whatever bootlegs you can find. Burg Herzburg 2008 and Europa Tournee 2015 are both outstanding recordings.

My Spotify stats don't accurately represent what I'm really listening to because I buy stuff and listen to it through foobar2000 more than what I listen to on Spotify.

I primarily listen to records and adore my home system, especially since I've been working from home since March. My yearly spotify was mostly my kids stuff; from cheese kid pop to baptists ha!

Pickupdate: had to use pliers to get the stripped screws out. Man they were low quality. Looks like they were pozidrive but I used a regular philips. One bad turn was enough to utterly destroy them. The new ones are regular philips and I don't think they're all that much better seeing how I accidentally stripped one a tiny bit but I can't imagine they're any worse than what I had. Seriously astounded by the lack of quality here. Now it's half past bedtime for me.

Speaking of Maiden, I'm putting together a playlist of sweet Winter Solstice-ish songs. I'm thinking along the lines of Moonchild, Stargazer...you know, songs that make you want to build a mini-Stonehenge in your backyard and form a coven. Give me suggestions!

Some of my faves are: phantom of the opera, seventh son, dance of death, hallowed be thy name, children of the damned, wicker man. Probably a bit obvious and loads of others, but these always catch my mood with maiden.

I'm talking other bands. Moonchild is my Maiden song. Stargazer is Rainbow. Here are some others I've got so far:
Uriah Heep "Traveller in Time"
Mercyful Fate "A Dangerous Meeting"
Pentagram "Sign of the Wolf"
Ghost "Ritual"

Obviously I'll also have a Sabbath song.
