It's a fight stick! Based on old arcade cabinet controls, mostly used for competitive fighting games nowadays! I thought it would be neat to play with one but couldn't find anything that would quite fit my desires, so I designed one for myself! I initially commissioned artwork for it, but that fell through, so I picked it up myself a couple of weeks back. So far I've been playing a bit of Celeste with it"Yawning Design"
It looks gorgeous, YJ. But..... what is it??
Damn that is a savage bass.Fun times at House Fakenbacker. Dudeguy local to me built his own 4030 from scratch and did a great job. I'm weird and somehow more attracted to the (good) copies that are out there, like the Czech bass on the left.
Tempted to go troll the Ric club thread now......already got in trouble this week for my naughty c o v i d - 1984 post

But I agree, don't bother trolling the Rick club, they spend enough time trolling themselves.
There WAS a quite civil and informative Rickenfaker club but I guess the All Seeing Eye alighted on it for too long...

I'm watching The Americans right now so I'm pretty sure everyone is a spy. I suspect half of you for spying on behalf of the praise & worship clubAww man that's a bummer. My conspiracy theory is official Ric infiltrators coming along and narc-ing on people, they're like the Karen of the bass world.

Yeah, pretty much.Aww man that's a bummer. My conspiracy theory is official Ric infiltrators coming along and narc-ing on people, they're like the Karen of the bass world.
The only praise and worship I do is of Papa Al!I'm watching The Americans right now so I'm pretty sure everyone is a spy. I suspect half of you for spying on behalf of the praise & worship club![]()
... Same. I feel very fortunate that my last show before everything fell apart was Om.The only praise and worship I do is of Papa Al!
I'm starting my own amplifier business. I'm calling it Catamp...

I built the fEARful on the bottom. There's a link to my build thread somewhere in here. The guitar cab on top I got for cheap on Craigslist and fixed up a little bit along with putting in the speakers. The cat came pre-assembled.Nice! Did you build both of these?

Needs louder bass IMO. But I like the melodic counterpoint in the middle part and the runs in the outro.recorded something for a songwriting prompt. was given a drum track and went from there. I'm sure for tighter players it could've been a tech-y death metal song but I'm more in the crossover thrash/powerviolence camp (partly because I'm sloppy lol)
got tired of writing verses so recorded a bunch of nonsense guitar solos

Doubtful - my other guitars don't suffer this issue. This guitar does it with all amps, and regardless of the ground setting on the amp (they have a - + and neutral switch on the back on the amp).Could be a wiring issue with the outlet itself, or in the amp maybe?
Bass is a separate issue... I'm pretty sure that noise is related to the output jack going bad. The pressure on a cable makes for better connection in the jack, but it seems that any cable can be the culprit, though some fit better than others. But all are "fixed" by pressure. But that noise is constant (when the plug isn't getting pressure), and doesn't change with distortion or anything.Ok. Was reading back through the thread. So bass does it on all amps, different plugs/circuits, is gone when touching metal on the bass, is quieter with some cables, has been checked out by a tech and shielded. What kind of bass and how easy is it to get to the input jack?
