I played a couple in the before time. I like them. Edit: vintage pro thunderbirds also, embassy is some electronics in a more conventional shape.

I've got one. I loves it, even if the headstock is absurdly large. It sounds great, and you can get a variety of tones from the pickups.
Wow, Santa either lost his mind, is switching accounting systems, or he had no idea what he was doing all along. There's no way I've been this good. I got a pedal bonanza for Christmas. I've been wanting the Wiggler since it was released, and get one as a gift now that it's been discontinued. The Fuzz War has been on my list of pedals to get for awhile. My singer/guitarist had one, and I loved it.
I didn't even know the books existed. I've opened up the one on 333 rare effects, and it starts with DBA's Oliver Ackerman and several of his prototypes that never made it into production. So, I'm pretty sold on them already.
Now, I gotta go play with my Wiggler.

Holding a loop of yarn, so my wife can gradually pull it off my hands as she rolls it into a ball. The yarn leaves the factory in these loops, but you cannot knit directly from one or it will tangle. So you need either balls or skeins.
(In order to write this paragraph I needed to really brush up my English on an unfamiliar subject.)

Hehehe, I was familiar with what instrumentalist was doing, so I did wonder what you thought might be going on in that picture. Human hair? Woah, that's going to a place that's either incredibly dark, or somehow comforting. Lots of possibilities there!

Hehehe, when I sent the news to my band, the singer responded. "Now I can finally stop hearing about how I didn't sell my Fuzz War to scabpicker." He's right, he never gelled with it. He regrets selling it, but just because I'm a pain in the posterior.
Edited to add: Jesus enjoying a pogo stick and cocaine simultaneously! After playing around with the Fuzz War on bass, woah. I never realized until owning my own that unity gain on that pedal is somewhere between 1.5-2 on a volume knob that has no numbers whatsoever. Maybe my singer couldn't convince himself to run that knob so low. I found it hard to believe, because most fuzz pedals don't drive the hell out of the amp, but this one sure seems to.
I mean, it sounds awesome slaughtering the EHX English Muff'n I was using as a preamp, but you'd have to be mindful of that volume boost in a live setting.

Sounds like my Swollen Pickle. Gain about 8:00 and volume about 9:ish and I've got plenty of volume and dirt. We scaled back this year. This was the highlight, but I did pick up some special albums and pedals for myself.
Nice! I was bummed when they discontinued the tube line. The wiggler and tube eq were two I really wanted to try.
There's so many pedals with a difficult sweet spot like that and sometimes it's such a bummer. That's why I sold my swollen pickle, but I still regret that. I noticed I make a ton of sacrifices for live playing in that department. My tonebender and DOD 250 are two that sound so much better cranked, but I don't use as always on. They still sound good, but it is what it is. To me it's like the difference between gain coming from a preamp or the power amp.

I've noticed that for live, a lot of dirt I have the volume set pretty low to avoid huge volume jumps.
How can a pedal NOT have a volume knob is beyond me. I sold the Cat King for that reason, no individual volume control for the two distortions, with the result that the second one was unusable. I even wrote the Fuzzrocious guy and pointed out this problem... The reply was something like some people like the volume jump. What? Really?

Well, it seems like that's better than the state of most fuzzes when I was a kid. I'm not sure why, but most would actually amount to a volume drop. One of the many reasons for loving the Super-Fuzz when I got it was it at least didn't amount to a volume drop when you had the balance knob all the way up.
But, even though I'm a big fan of several fuzzes I have with no knobs - yeah, I'd rather have at least a volume knob. If the builder could arrange to have unity arranged near midway up on the knob, that'd be great!
