Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I went by the name weezy....only posted in the tech room, the other sections were too screechy for my tastes.

I don't blame them for dragging their feet - it's not like that forum was generating business, my feeling is that it was more of a headache based on the b.s. that eventually happens on most forums.
Yeah, probably...
I wrote in the tech room only now and then, I was more addicted to the crap/not crap section :smug:
BTW it was soooo great for music discovery :atoz: Tons of great recommendations I got there... I miss it :atoz:

I finished up a fuzz build for a friend of mine and replaced the light in this Peavey PA head. Besides that just work and wedding planning.

Are you getting married? Or is someone else?

I am at the end of September. It has been such a shot in the dark planning things during Covid. We just planned small and hoped for the best. Luckily, it seems like everything is going to be just fine for the ceremony. We were hoping to do an international trip for the honeymoon but that might not be able to happen.

A little family reunion yesterday, celebrating our son's birthday. Playing D&D was fun, and our daughter did a good job as a first-time Dungeon Master. My wife stirred things up, questioning why anyone in their right mind would offer us twenty gold pieces for just walking up to Aunt Ginny to see if she's OK.

I played this very young Forest Gnome Bard, and made a pencil sketch:

What did everybody do instead of wanking around on TB?

I worked on the van and put some band aids on my crumbling deck. Didn't play any bass geeetar.

Enjoyed the worst hangover I’ve had in 5 years, courtesy of J&J. Worked on my girlfriends house as part of the moving in process.

I need some advice guys!
Is the Boss Line Selector a good choice to plug two basses to the same amp and control the volume so that I don't need to touch the amp? Does it affect the tone? Any other unexpensive option?

Yes, not in my experience , I don’t know.

I got my first Covid-19 vaccination, did a bunch of home improvement on the old house to get it ready to go on sale, and started getting comfy in the new one.

My band just got its first post-covid show booked for June. It's a lineup that was cancelled back at the start of this mess. Let's hope that one doesn't end a casualty. :bassist:

So are most people feeling the effects more after the first shot or the second? Or both?

I have heard the effects after the second shot are a little worse for everyone so I just cleared my weekend for Netflix and couch time.

Yeah, the second shot has worse side effects, from what I understand. Even if it is short lived, I've heard from a few folks that a half day to a day can be shot to recovering. But, about the same amount seem to report barely noticing it.

I may be a complete weenie. I know I'm the worst kind of person to deal with when I'm sick. I'm whiny, and there's no real comforting me. If you're not dispensing medicine or critical care, we're both better off if you'd just leave me alone.
