I got both my Moderna shots. 1st one just seemed to make my arm sore slightly longer, but nothing bad by any stretch. The second one absolutely destroyed me the next day. I couldn't do anything, just felt like sleeping and had body aches all day. I'm NEVER sick, so this is just weird for me. Not terrible considering what it could be, but not anywhere near my normal. I woke up the next day like nothing ever happened.

The scariest part of being vaccinated for me was just getting the first shot. The man gave me the shot, I watched the needle enter my arm, and then the needle was gone. The syringe was pulled out and there was no needle attached. The man said "Uh-oh" and grabbed a cotton swab. I thought to myself - "Is there a needle stuck in my arm? How will a cotton swab help? And why would he say uh-oh?" So I stayed calm on the outside, freaked out on the inside, and asked the guy, "Does the needle retract?" He said "Yes, but you're bleeding a little." I was freaking out for a bit there, let me tell you.

The whole visit was slightly uncomfortable: the biggest group I’ve been in for a year, plus some general anxiety and white coat syndrome. A guy next to me in the post-injection waiting room complained of dizziness, which ironically took my mind off my
own fears. I don’t know how he came out, as my 15 minute wait period was over a few minutes after he called over a staffer.

We were a national, so global, hotspot last fall, so I think the local powers that be are trying to put up a good front. Also, the current executive administration has made it a priority. And I kind of suspect there’s a significant number of folks who , for whatever reason, don’t want the vax, leaving more for those that do.

In gear news, I got this in a trade. I have never played any DG stuff before but it is really cool. It doesn't have that baked in djent tone that most of the demos have. I'm not sure if I will keep it but has definitely surprised me.

I'm mainly surprised that the word "natural" comes to mind with how the pedal sounds. It probably has a lot to do with my rig. At home I am playing my '01 Stingray 5 with really dead nickel rounds through my V4B reissue and a SVT 1x15 cab. Even with the drive maxed it is still very touch sensitive. Playing lightly really cleans up and digging in gets super gritty. I'm pleasantly surprised that my normal tone still came through.

Fudge, man. Me too. Got it yesterday. Feeling like the day after shotgunning a fifth of bad tequila.

Yeah I felt like that and I was hit by a truck on the way home and someone took a bat to my head.

What felt so crazy to me more than anything was how bad the shakes were from my fever. Was uncontrollable and so violent. Got the J&J too.

I may have done a 'bad' thing and bought this off reverb. SS version [kinda?] of a JCM 800. Figured for the mid/high side of my biamping. I am going to be attempting to run my band in duo format - me and the drummer. While I do dig the Peavey standards I have, this Marshall was pretty cheap. So why not!?

I may have done a 'bad' thing and bought this off reverb. SS version [kinda?] of a JCM 800. Figured for the mid/high side of my biamping. I am going to be attempting to run my band in duo format - me and the drummer. While I do dig the Peavey standards I have, this Marshall was pretty cheap. So why not!?View attachment 4234231

I've only been to two European countries, and Poland is one of them. I liked it and really want to get back some day. Bialowieza Park is particularly memorable. Anyway...sorry for the digression.

This is literally also the first thing I thought of. Though with my luck, it'd be my left arm that got longer.

I got it today. [As described in the listing] it is fully functioning but in rough shape. The on/off switch is cracked [but works] and several pots on it are very iffy. Not too similar to my Peavey standards in that regard. Lol. Both of those have a few wonky pots apiece.

Thankfully an old GK footswitch I had laying around works to switch channels. A lot more gain on tap, which makes sense given its basically a SS take on the jcm800.

Had just a few minutes to mess with it. The stripped and stained cab/sleeve looks great. Needs some rubber feet. It is a cool contrast to the Peaveys. I do quite like the clean side of the amp with my pedals.

With some spit shine and a few minor fixes it should prove to be solid amp.
