For reference, the Elephant Skin is just a standard TFR with a boost in front (not the phat phuk boost - cleaner). So if you want more of a Green Russian with a built in boost switch, go ES. If you want something that's got more clarity and brighter/splattier gain, but less meaty/wooly muff-style lows, go with the PPB. I thought the PPB was less scooped and clearer, but I didn't personally find the sweet spot when I started using the clean blend. Some fuzzes are alright with a low passed clean blend, but this one sounded a bit 'separated' to my ears. If you want to go the muff direction with more options, also check out the Super Russian by W&C. It's got a pre-muff germanium boost, plus some more tonal options with the mids/creamy switches.

If memory serves, isn't the Pickle Pie B a Swollen Pickle derivative? (Which, obviously, is a Muff derivative...) Anyway, if that's the case, the Swollen Pickle is incredibly tweakable, readily available, and cheaper. Just a thought if any of those are a concern. I love my Swollen Pickle, and it's recently been moved to fuzz #1 as it sounds better with tone-shaping afterward than my Pharaoh Supreme does.

I Googled that movie bc I really like horror movies in general, but gotta say I tend to chicken out on Asian horror movies…

Idk what it is, but something about the cultural differences somehow making them really extra psychologically disturbing to me (not a knock on their quality bc I have seen a few good ones, just not a sub genre I generally gravitate to)…

Lol-Thinking of Audition as I wrote that…Good movie/well made, but not my first choice for a horror movie…

I did like One Cut Of The Dead…

I felt like overall that movie was clever and I enjoyed that particular episode of The Last Drive In…

Well I am ALWAYS willing to get behind things that are 420 times better…

I had actually read the plot before I saw the movie bc it kept showing up on the most disturbing horror movies of all time list…

I’m guessing just watching that movie without any prior information would be QUITE a shock to the system…

Shoulda known there was a thread for that. Not surprised it's a lot like this one.

Way too much of a binge this month...I know the bill is more than I'd want to spend or have to offset, a lot of em are likely to be sold, besides the hizumitas and fooz. Haven't tried the fooz yet, but if it's even close to the few good bass demos I've seen it's going to replace more than one of my pedals.

That haul looks like a lot of fun! Did you try the RAT already? I got myself a Fat Rat last month and absolutely love it!

I love recommending "Tetsuo: The Iron Man" to people. I've been called names after the fact. Lol.

Okay, I know I’ve posted this before, but WOW am I digging this band (This is probably my favorite song of theirs, but this whole album just freaking RIPS man):



Was listening to this album last night as I was falling asleep and had it on earlier this afternoon when I was studying at work…

They are borderline musically bipolar bc it’s like they can’t make up their mind if they wanna be a Thrash Metal Band, a Death Metal Band, or a Stoner Metal band…

Vocally they are Death Metal, Musically they are mostly Thrash, but then they will slam on the brakes and slow their tempo down like they do at the 5:35 mark in this song (the slower/slowish intro to this song somehow is fed by a song with a decent amount of blast beats and speed leading up to it, but musically the transition doesn’t feel very abrupt)…

Album is really “doing it” for me at the moment (their other album is also good, but Slay In Hell is a far superior album IMO)…

I also like that they will go long stretches where they are all instrumental…

Not every day that I find a nice gateway drug album like this-They are making me wanna dig further into this genre and find some similar bands…

So you know…Listen, Listen, Pass (I assume that’s the rule for sharing music on this thread based on the title right??? ;-) )…

Yeah, gotta say I'm a fan. I can imagine the fat rat to be even better for bass. I'd keep it if I didn't have a rat clone with a few options I already use. Worth picking up in the future as a backup when I don't binge like this.

Wow, I can see why haha! That's one hell of a plot, can only imagine how intense the actual movie is.
