if the rat pack hasn’t checked the fuzzrocius cat tail, it’s pretty rad. along w/ the usual 3 knobs, it has a two knobs that’s “fine tunes how the signal clips on the highs and lows. To start, roll them both back, then slowly roll them clockwise to find your personal taste in clipping of your signal.” it also has a diode toggle to change from 1n914 silicon to no diodes to LEDs. I can get a pretty well-dialed tone with it. It came on my radar when i learned that Brian Cook used one.
I've certainly looked into it, but the clips I hear don't sound heavy enough. But that could just be that the clips didn't showcase it, either. I'm not looking for incredibly subtle Rat tones. I want something that can work in a death/thrash setting, with plenty of dirt but also definition, which I is one of the reasons I'm thinking of getting another Blower Box (and it's pretty affordable!).
To muddy things up, I found an old recording of my Volt Thrower the other day. Sounded great! Too bad I won't be picking one of those up again! So what are the thoughts on Blower Box vs. Cat Tail for middling-heavy dirt? I liked the Blower Box in the past, and am leaning that way (or Landphil), but have always wanted and never had a Fuzzrocious. I hear nothing but great things about them!
Cat tail has my vote, although I typically use a Demon. Kinda wanting a Little Fella

A micro POG someone painted. It's going on the underside and even then I could care less how it looked. Interestingly, I can pick off the paint easy and have been tempted to clean it up.
On a side note, I need to put together my small board. I think I'm gonna purge most of my pedals and hold onto some of the cash. I plan on getting a Zoia which will go where the Fooz is, which will then go to the small board with the phaser probably, my blessed mother and Wild Kyle.
The: Rats - my favorite Ratsperience was a Cmatmods Ratified with a dying battery - I mean light-failing-you-got-like-15-minutes. Anybody know of a rat with a voltage starve/dying battery feature?

Mostly use as custom modulation, wah, etc. The ability to customize and create effects is wicked cool. Plus the midi capability and synths. The biggest reason though is the ability to program the foot switches and have completely isolated signal paths for each stereo I/O. Will be handy with my rig. Want phaser and vibrato on one channel and a synth and envelope on another? Zoia can.

Would you happen to know which frequencies that the tone knobs on that pedal are affecting? I checked the Idiotbox site but that pedal must be out of production since there was no listing for it. I really like what the TK 421 did with those dirt pedals. I would imagine some EQing of the right frequencies would get somewhere in the ballpark.

Yeah, as @NNNN said, the page itself is short on details. I have a habit of buying any discontinued design of his I find floating around, and that one does seem to make any distortion a lot more bass friendly. I could get more clever, trace out the circuit and figure out the points either freaky or deaky adjusts and whether they're filters or not, but I haven't done so yet.

I wonder if the Kool filters is a step further, haven't had time to mess with it yet, but that's got my interests piqued. I didn't try the Kool with dirt...
Damn I miss that game! I still have the CD for that and Morrowind. Since my Xbox went kaput 8 months ago, I haven't had time to game one ounce.
Edit: I need to dig up D2, that's perfect for early morning before work coffee and games. I need to start playing my SNES again too, the hassle of keeping the stuff safe from my kids every time I put it away though has held me back a little...
