The only games I've played lately have been old LEGO games on Xbox (both OG and 360). It's fun time with my 5 year old son, and we both enjoy them for what they are.I wonder if the Kool filters is a step further, haven't had time to mess with it yet, but that's got my interests piqued. I didn't try the Kool with dirt...
Damn I miss that game! I still have the CD for that and Morrowind. Since my Xbox went kaput 8 months ago, I haven't had time to game one ounce.
Edit: I need to dig up D2, that's perfect for early morning before work coffee and games. I need to start playing my SNES again too, the hassle of keeping the stuff safe from my kids every time I put it away though has held me back a little...
Back to rats
I ran my fatrat at 18v today. Totally different beast! Lot more controllable, really need er to crank te distortion and turn the filter off to get back to crazy rat sounds. On 18v it was really a tick overdrive.
Does anybody make a volt switcher in pedal form? It would be great to be able to run the pedal at 9 and 18v on the board and switch with a stomp!

I partly blame you guys.
My Xbox 360 just gave me the red ring of death almost a year ago. I have so many good games on and for that system I want to see if I can get it repaired. But at this point it's 2 generations behind so IDK if it's even possible
Any of y'all played the witcher 3?
And this makes me a little sad. Spoiler sort of, but the game has three main endings that change based on how you play, I got the worst one and couldn't even bring myself to play games for about a month afterward. This was back when I was like 16 and games were my main pastime too. Some of the best storytelling in a game ever no doubt.
I'd definitely recommend going and finishing the main story at least. When it comes to video games I'm an over completionist so I love all the side missions and exploration but understand that The Witcher has A LOT of that.
At 35 and with a kid I've entered the D(e)ad Zone of gaming = falling asleep on the couch with a Switch in my hands. The only game I still can sink hours in is The Binding of Isaac (which I`ve played longer than Skyrim and Breath of the Wild combined).
Hmm, I hadn't thought about trying to do the TK 421 thing with the Kool Filters. So, I tried it out. Nah, the EQ points aren't the same, and the TK 421 seems to have more room to shove the sound around. The settings in the pic below sound kind of close to each other, but you wouldn't mistake them. The TK 421 still has a lot to go but the Kool is nearly maxed on the low end, and turning up the low end knobs more doesn't get you much closer.

Doom gods respect power, no matter the source.I feel like the Doom gods are gonna smite me.. but DAAAMN. Mesa TT-800 with an MBD-1 in front is an absolute monster. My V4-B feels like an orphan.

You should! My kid is all about LEGOs. If it's not LEGO games, it's actual LEGOs, or one of the LEGO shows. I'm not complaining - gives me a reason to play with LEGOs too!@kleinenenten, I've never played those. Bet they're fun, I should start involving my kiddos in that more. My oldest likes trying Dr Mario and Mario kart, but has difficulty with the snes controller. I'm guessing it's just a tough learning curve at first.

So I re-strung my Squier VI with baritone strings and tuned it A-a. I like it a lot more acoustically as a baritone than I did as a bass, but on a first drive with it plugged in, I still think the pickups or tone circuit are a bit ice-picky. Anyone got advice on some less treble-y pickups or changes to the circuit that might do the same? I know I can turn the tone knob down, but that seems to get muddy really fast.
