Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

So. I have cats. And I drink the the occasional beer. However cats + beers ends up being an issue as the fuzzball + beer lead to the death of a power supply and a frantic replacement of it before a rehearsal… luckily GC had some of these low profile ones.

Next was cleaning out all the pedals and rebuilding my board.

Oi.
BUT here are some gut shots when I was cleaning everything. Many Qtips were harmed during this.

Thankfully the zoom wasn't covered in stuff and it cleaned up easily. Still.

Ton of work. Stuff was gross.

Next up is to finish rewiring the underside of the pedal board and getting stuff secured because this thing going to be used a LOT in the near future.

I was walking the Battle Dachshund(tm) last night and stopped to chat with a guy who was walking another Battle Dachshund(tm) and a second, Spitz-looking tiny thing. The Spitz looking dog, when answering my dog's war-cry/challenge, started barking and the guy told him to be quiet. Sounds pretty mundane until you hear the dog's name: Queequeg. I died. Of course I went home and watched Gregory Peck's best performance as an actor as Ahab in "Moby Dick".

I think a lot of the vocals kinda ruin a lot of low'n'slow, but that's just me
Same here. Just the other day I was listening to this

Some fantastic music IMO but the singing just isn't for me, especially in a doomy context. Kind of makes me think of a Doomy Iron Maiden
Al said they will release a new album next year and do another tour.
Aw hell yeh

CO Doomers/ies!! My beautiful GF is paying for a trip to Denver in January for my birthday. I'm definitely gonna want to catch some metal shows (preferably S/D of course). Could y'all give me some good venue recommendations for around the downtown Denver area? Do y'all know of any big names coming around mid-late January? If any of y'all want to catch some shows together LMK

had a custom little shortscale made, took a while.

Got a Bass Mountain pedal today. Really liking it so far. Nails the same tone as my Iron Pig, but with just slightly less bass headroom, which makes total sense considering the Iron Pig is running at 18v. Definitely an improvement over my stock Cat Tail (which I may still get modded for a blend just because). All three of them are excellent Rats, and each is capable of different tones, so they're all going to stay for now.

@rutrho - seems like you should just replace them all? I'm debating putting a new pre in one of my old Ibanez basses, just after I stop buying various dirt pedals... Speaking of which, got an ODB clone coming my way...

Yeah. I'll be replacing the rest of them.
