Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Good call, here's some of the recent infatuations, also moving the 610 on and gonna pick up new drivers for the 412 I got. I gotta figure out what first...I think it's about 1.1 cu ft per driver.

I was confused about all the hooks in the video until the end when I finally notices that was the name of the song. I like the visual style of the video though, very neat.

And based on this song, if I found out your band was going to play in my area, I'd buy a ticket. I dig it.

Haha, thanks! Potentially took the hooks theme too far

That is very likely another Band though, as we are Europe-based and not touring anytime soon. But you might enjoy them too;)

Finally I got to see (and shoot) the M a s t e r s o f R e a l i t y. Chris Goss gained a few years (and lost a couple of pounds) and suffered from a back injury, but man did they R O C K.

The current European tour is rather modest (only a few gigs, in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany and Belgium). I hope you'll be able to catch them in a theatre near you. Totally worth your while!

I've actually played bass recently. Nothing too exciting, just going through my old set of covers I learned throughout the past year, but good to play at all. Still slowly getting rid of excess pedals, though I DID order two more CMC Muffs - the Elk and the Ram's Head. Hoping that the Ram's Head is basically a Pharaoh with mids, as I'm really loving the CMC Bubble Font's ability to cut a bit with mids, but would love the dirt qualities of the Pharaoh, which is a Ram's Head derivative. If this can do both, I may have found my ultimate muff, and may actually think of - GASP! - parting with my Pharaoh.

Finally got my guitar amps back - after a 4.5 month wait. It was quoted as a month... Anyway, can't complain much as the guy does solid work and is doing it on the side, plus the total fee was what most techs would charge to even look at my two amps, so it's alright. And it's not like I'm gigging or earning a living off of my bass skills, let alone my far worse guitar skills. But it felt nice to take a few minutes yesterday to jam out nice and loud while testing them out. I'll have to do that a lot more tomorrow. In a related note, I'm really digging the CMC Civil War Muff for guitar. CMC currently has my favorite Muffs for guitar and bass, but we'll see how long the guitar one lasts. It's only been those few minutes so far, and I'm planning a Muff shootout tomorrow with the newly repaired amps. Should be fun!

other than some scratchy pots, seems to be in great shape.

Looks great with that berg. Idk what it is, but there's something about those style, older, amp heads that is just wicked cool.

Nice, the only muff types you haven't tried yet are triangle and Elk, right? Though I think those are much the same. Always good to read your comparison breakdowns.
