Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

We could for sure stack the stack. He was skeptical on this but I insisted we try. Next time will try harder to stuff him in on the side and see how it works. For this I did take the head rests out so I could place the pedal board case behind my seat. Still a passenger seat void to fill as well so the gig bag seen in the back could have been there no problem.

Still miss my Dodge truck. Looking for a old Datsun at the moment to fill that void. Never going to amount to the old Dodge LB in cargo capacity but would fit my needs better these days.
Keep in mind I need old so the CARB folks can't tell me how to power it.

Save the OBXT for body hauling with gear for camping and such.

I always take the headrests out. I put my amp and pedalboard in the spaces in front of the rear passenger seats, fold those seats down, and put my cab in the back. If I put it on its side, I have room for a passenger in the rear seat, or another cab, also on its side. Just on its front, instead, there's room for another cab on top.

Sartori, that MIJ Epi is pretty solid. It's a shortscale, which I'm not completely used to, so I've been using it more lately to get a better feel for it. For some reason, I just decided to use my shortscales for my July gigs, just to mix it up I guess. My other SS is a modified Epi Flying V. I plan to break that out some time in July, too.

The Flying V bass I played last year at Guitar Center actually sounded quite good. I was a bit surprised by how great the tone was.
Almost made me want to get it and pretend to be Murdock.

I played a great Wilshire guitar, too. If I had money, I'd own one. Weird but cool little instrument.

And wilshires and crestwoods are awesome.

Hey so my basses are all 30" except my p basses at 34".

Anyone played a 32/32.5" scale bass?

I like the shorter style, but it effects the tension which effects the tone (not negative, but different) I'm curious how something in the middle would react.

A p or j bass in 32 without a crazy price tag, or any pickup combo I guess just to get suggestions.
